Also! For those of you in middle school or going into middle school, read this! • romantic relationships DON’T MATTER! I know it may seem “cool” but trust me, it’s not. • FOCUS on your grades! Study hard, that’s what matters the most! • BE KIND to others! I know that sounds super cliche, but treat others the way YOU want to be treated! • Don’t get into drama! Find a nice friend group that makes YOU feel safe & comfortable! • No one will remember your embarrassing moments!♥️♥️

I’m in 7th grade rn, and honestly, the best way to survive middle school(imo): FIND A FRIEND GROUP THAT TREATS YOU WELL AND *STAY* WITH THEM. This is what I do. I’m myself around my friends, I’m comfortable with them. We joke about how much middle school sucks for all of us. They are very smart people, they don’t start fights. We help each other out. Be kind to people outside of your friend group(obviously be kind to your friends, too, but being loud and yourself, if your friends are real friends, is less of a risk). Don’t make fun of anyone. I don’t care if you feel uncool, people will leave you alone if you don’t make fun of anyone. They won’t make fun of you, because you’re nice, and they would feel bad making fun of you. Some people who aren’t exactly your friends might end up wanting to be friends with you or defending you. Kids in middle school are mean, and they tease each other. It’s best to avoid that, because you get to avoid all the emotional stress that comes with it.

This is EXACTLY what I'm going through in middle school I just started 6th grade and I have like 0 friends.I'm trying to talk to more people in order to meet new friends I haven't made any friends so far but I'm still trying.
@Simba2UU2 жыл бұрын
6th grade: Everyone was starting to get rude, and trying to act cool. Everyone would be assholes to me for no reason. People would constantly make fun of me for anything, how I walked, how I talked(I had crossbite, my mother literally wouldn't take me to the dentist for some reason) and much more. 7th grade: We went remote for most of the year, I got depressed cause of no social interaction. Near the end of the year, in-person was an option, but I didn't have much people to talk to, and the few friends I made were toxic 8th grade: I could only tolerate two of my teachers, the rest either tried to hard to be funny, abused their power, or would literally pick on me for no reason. One time, my math teacher literally wouldn't let me going to the bathroom after I had made it clear that I had UTI. She'd also try to berate me after I made obvious jokes sometimes, and yell at me for dumbass stuff; for example, my math teacher would yell at me for being on a tab with a hallpass website(Yes, we had to use E-Hallpass this year for some reason, I also still had UTI at this time) she threatened to kick me out of class and give me a detention. Cafeteria food was horrible everyday, the quality got worse each passing year since 5th grade. Most of the students there were toxic, sometimes I'd be threatened by others for little to no reason. I'd get depressed, lost interest in most of my activities, sometimes not even doing my work. 9th Grade(currently): During my whole Summer, I was worrying about improving my looks, and strength to the point of frustration. I begged my mother to take me to a night school program, even saying that I'd walk if I have to(I was originally gonna go to Belleville East, which most of the kids from last year + a lot more kids would go to) but eventually we found another School that just opened in my area, and I got to attend it. I'm already liking it better than Middle School, most of the people are chill, I'm actually learning things instead of rushing multiple topics in a week and forgetting most of them, teachers are nice and respectful, and fights aren't happening 24/7. I believe High school is already gonna be a better time for me, and I might update this comment when I finish my 9th grade year.

This hasn’t happened to me ( and probably never will ) because my school is strict when it comes to bullies. If you are caught doing that stuff, there’s no way you’re gonna get off without a lesson. With that aside, I’m sorry you were treated so horribly. No kid deserves that kind of treatment.

Hey leamon, very relatable story. I’m in 6th grade, I got bullied in 5th, people where talking about me behind my back, and it made me upset, I still can’t say anything about it because if I say one wrong thing, my life goes down the drain really quick, I’ve tried dealing with it but it’s hard to. Even in 6th grade people are still bothering me. Now I really don’t want to have to go to 7th, my sister (she is in college now) says that her middle school experience was bad as well. She got pushed down the stairs at school, someone threatened to kill her and tried to rape her, her friend died because he fell down the stairs, people where doing drugs, and a bunch of other bad stuff as well. I really am not looking forward to it. Also, I am sorta a social butterfly, I really like talking to people who like talking to me, but I have social anxiety because I’m scared if people are talking behind my back, spreading rumors about me, and then I will end up alone. It’s just scary for me, that’s why I can’t talk to people that much.

I would like to give out a few tips for Middle School! I’ve experienced it so I would like to share a few things to do and to NOT DO! Thank you if you read along! • Relationship DONT matter! Focus on school work! School is for learning, not loving! It’s okay to have a crush, I actually had a crush on someone- • DONT CUSS!! Cussing is NOT cool and you can get in trouble for it! • Be YOURSELF! DONT be shy to not be yourself at school! Be yourself so then if someone is like you, they can be friends with you! • NO DRAMA!! It’s not right to do and it can hurt peoples feeling. You can also get in trouble! • Don’t be a “showoff”, I’m not being rude but don’t show off to others because for example. If you try to do a flip in front of your crush, you could get hurt. (It’s just a scenario so DONT DO IT!!) I hope this helps for some people! If you have any other questions then you can ask me! And great video Leamon! The art in the background is AMAZING!!

I had a group of friends, until they decided to hate me for no reason and ignore me. I'd brought this up to them, and they acted like they cared, but they didn't. My other friend hung out with a group of friends who bullied me. So, I was alone. I talked with people, which were for some reason mainly boys. People said that I was dating them, but really, none of us cared. But, boys in my grade never learn and they didn't notice when they left me for their other bully friends and I felt sad again. One person was popular in a way, who I became friends with. She then became my partner in the play, as in, I was one step sister of cinderella, she was the other. However, this girl had a different group of friends who didn't like me much. Me and one of my friends who were boys became close,but only as friends. I got braver, since now I had real friends, and began wearing pajamas to school. In 6th grade, one new boy moved to our school who made me feel uncomfortable. He liked me, though. He WINKED at me and called me senorita (my name). This boy made me scared, so I always went to my other REAL friend, the boy. He also didn't like the new boy, and so we both hung out more often. Ill continue the story if you ever want to meet me in AJPW, my user is Polarbearr4.

that happened to me too!! i had a decent sized friend group of all females in fifth grade, but come sixth grade, they kind of just stopped hanging out with me. i asked them if they still considered me their friend and they literally just looked at each other nervously laughing with awkward looks. i don’t know what i did honestly. there were a few who stayed loyal to me despite the group’s influence and although we’re apart now, i can still appreciate and respect them for that. don’t be a sheep. also lemme add: giving a dog with big floppy ears huge earrings is genius and adorable lol

8th grade was by far the most stressful for me. One of my "friends" was insanely jealous of me and decided to drop me and talk behind my back when I did NOTHING. The other one was straight up awful, they would call me slurs when they got mad at me, they HIT me,they talked behind my back, made fun of my trauma, and much more. THEN THEY DROPPED ME AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. Im a freshman in highschool, I don't care abt the girl that was jealous of me anymore but, the one that treated me like garbage I can never forgive.

yo, this was pretty recently (literally the end of last school year). tw for violence ok, so, it was just like everyday until 2nd period that i got in an argument with the middle school mean girls. i’ve had previous arguments with them before, but this time one of them wanted to fight me. i obviously declined one because it’s stupid and two because the argument was over the smallest thing. and wasn’t gonna get a broken nose or get expelled over it, cause that’s what they want. a bit later after 3rd class i went to the counselors cause i was having a bad day and instead the counselor brought on of the middle school mean girls to talk about the stuff happening. this will be important. after that, the day went back as usual. next was 4th, then 5th. then lunch rolled around. i was no joke minding my own business watching a grasshopper that my friend brought to the table when one of the middle school mean girls came from behind me and pulled me down from the back of my hair. she then proceeded to punch me in the face and kick me while i was still on the ground. this really confuses be since we talked about it with her friend earlier that day. it doesn’t bother me to much honestly, and since then i’ve moved so whatever. i honestly feel bad for her, cause everyone still has a reason. some part of me blames myself, but that’s just me. i bet i’ll see her on the news 15 years later to find out she committed a crime though 😭

Middle school can definitely be tough, especially going into it. It's when you realize that the world isn't all rainbows and happiness. yes, you may get betrayed, hurt, humiliated, etc. but it will all be okay! Why care what someone else thinks about you, just try your hardest! You will learn valuable lessons and make great friends. Perhaps you'll learn a new sport or instrument! There's tons of great things that come out of middle school. This is my last year before high school. Iv'e made good friends, memories, etc. Iv'e learned alot about life and myself that I never knew before. The point is, don't focus too much on the bad things that happen. Focus on the good things and look forwards, not behind. Try your very hardest, and you WILL succeed. Hope this helps anyone going into middle school or having a rough time in it.

I agree with this story so much. I wasn’t made fun of or anything, but it did suck when I was there. It all started in 2019, when I moved houses. We were staying at my grandmas house for the summer while looking for a new home. We weren’t in the district of my elementary school, so we went to a different district. I started school in 6th grade for less than a year, and it sucked. I struggled to carry things to my locker or classroom, Restroom breaks were restricted (this was when I had horrible bladder problems so it was a struggle) 5 minute rotations, and it was awful going down a long hall and arriving late, and no recess or after lunch activities. I once got my brothers lunch by mistake, and I got a lunch without paying. I was worried to tell my parents. Thankfully they weren’t mad and they payed it. The only good thing was when I made a friend. Sadly I never saw her again. About 2 months pass, I caught a stomach flu and was out of school for a week. By the time I recovered, we moved and I was back in my old school. By lockdown I’ve been homeschooled ever since, and luckily it’s been better because I didn’t go through puberty or get bullied when I was in school. First year of high school homeschool, and I hope everyone has a great year. ☺️

As a college student I have a message for middle schoolers: just do your work, take breaks when needed, remove your self from any friend drama. BELIEVE ME, petty drama isn’t worth it in the end, from personal experience. Please take care of your needs and don’t listen to anyone pulling you down. Also a few friends is better than a lot !!! Don’t bother becoming a popular kid or forcing your self too

Note: Sorry for spelling mistakes in advance (I’m not going back through this XD) Advice for ppl starting MS or HS from someone who has moved a lot more than your average person: -It’s okay to be a nerd. People actually value that a lot in the real world (outside of MS and HS). Sometimes your weird interests will make you the truest friends too. Example: The DSMP gets a lot of hate for some valid reasons, and some ridiculous reasons, but my friends were super into it at my old house, and being into something like that makes you a lot of instant friends (like I mean you’ll probably have 1 person in each of your classes) who you can talk to abt it for hours. Who cares if it’s weird. The people bullying you for it probably don’t have something that interesting to talk abt anyway. -Being “uncool” or “unpopular” is okay because like most of your friendships are going to be way more valuable than saying you peaked in HS or MS. -Sometimes ppl are going to try and shut you down for your kindness, like in Leamon’s situation. However, all of the people who value that kindness are going to remember you, even if it’s a vague memory. They’re going to have your back too. Like Leamon said, she may not have made the closest friends after what happened with Abby, but all of the ppl who were her friends/acquaintances in her classes had her back. No ones going to support someone being mean to a person who has been nothing but kind, so remember to stay kind and out of drama. -Being in the loop of drama is unimportant, a waste of brain space, and literally pointless to your future. Sometimes its okay to be oblivious to stuff like that. I’ve been told that I’m very wholesome, and some might take that as an insult, but no one means it as an insult (if they do, I have no clue what they’re on about). They just mean that you have your morals in check, and know whats important in life -Take advantage of group projects and gym (even if you suck at sports like me), in MS and HS you’re going to make good friends through those two. Think of gym like a recess with a grade (again even if you suck at sports) because you have a lot of time to talk with ppl and build team skills with them. 2 friends I made last year in gym ended up being my closest friends (even when health started and we only had lunch together). Connect with ppl y’all! Group projects seem like a pain now, but when you’ve had a lot of experience being a new kid, group projects are a great way to force your introverted self into meeting new ppl who end up being really sweet! -If all else fails, join a club (my introverted self is yelling at me rn XD). The person I’ve kept in contact most with since I’ve moved I met in set crew for the spring play. We literally knew each other for like 4 months, but are still in close contact and is like the only person who I’ll text for hours with. Basically just be yourself y’all! My dad and mom said that the nerds usually have a great experience in college anyway, and usually adults will see you as more mature for your age if you value your interests over popularity contests like social media and following up with trends. Also things like Dungeons and Dragons are a great way to meet other ppl who might be more introverted, and really it gets everyone to open up and have fun, so do stuff like that if you want XD Sorry if this was a lot of nonsense, it makes sense in my own head, but I’m sick, so my brain is a little foggy. GL y’all going into MS or HS, you got this my guy! Also sorry this happened to you Leamon, it’s crazy how low ppl stoop sometimes. Especially when you were just doing your own thing. I hope that your post HS life is amazing ‘cause all of us here may not know you on a personal level, but I think we can all agree that you seem pretty cool!

My school did elementary school until halfway into seventh grade, which I never really heard of another school doing that! Middle school is definitely a... journey. I suggest focusing on grades the MOST! It really does help, I promise. Some schools even offer college credit classes, which help for college pay! Keeping your grades up can help you get scholarships as well! Don't get into too much trouble at school, I understand we make mistakes, but don't get into too much! Why? Well, most jobs and colleges are looking for good students! This includes social media. Just pay attention in school and you'll do well!

Lastly, this was honestly a painful experience for me and I can kind of relate to others (“kind of” because the situation might end up different for others) who have experienced this but what made me feel upset was that this all happened in elementary school.

I currently just started Grade 9 at a new school, and I COMPLETELY understand that feeling of loneliness. Personally, I prefer being alone and doing things independently, but I quickly realized that I wouldn't be able to get through school all alone. I don't have the strength that you do, and I've been trying my hardest to avoid school, but I went to my mom who's gotten me meds and we both agreed on an online system that we could work through together. A different way to deal with these issues to GET HELP. Don't be afraid to talk to your parents, guardians, or councilors because they are there for you and want to help you (hopefully).

0:46 omg same!! Its not rlly how yours works but my school elementary is kindergarten - 4th, middle school is grades 5 - 7 and highschool is grades 8 - 12 i believe its 12 at the end, and it’s literally THE same exact reasoning as you!! Im glad to see someone who has a similar school system ^^

Honestly i wish middle school was interesting for me,. The only 2 interesting things that happen were: A kid drank hand sanitizer and had to be hospitalized, and a kid broke the window in the pool, causing the power in the basement to stop working due to the water draining directly into the basement. Other things probably did happen, i just skipped so much school during that time.

It took me until 9th grade to realize that the word “Friend” was supposed to mean a nice person that you are loyal with. Since 2nd grade I pretty much thought it meant “people who hate and ridicule you and you stay with because you don’t want to be lonely”

(love the drawing, Leamon, it's very cute!) Anyways, I have a story that took place about 8-9 years ago So, I was one of them kids who loathed going to school. I hated history class the most as the teacher was not all that nice. So every Thursday for about a month I managed to trick my mother with the old ,,fake fever trick” Every morning I would fool her, she would leave for work and leave me with our very kind neighbour. Our neighbour was so chill she would let me play on my games console and not mind at all. She would even sometimes ask what I was doing. Thursday was nice and calm until one day my mother caught onto what was going on. So, one Thursday she was not fooled. She, no joke, took the controllers and took them to work with her, so I could not use the console! (she was smart when she needed to be) I spend a very long and rather boring day at home, wishing that I had gone to school. It's funny when I think about it now, as I often think of things I could have done on that day YEARS later. Anyways to anyone reading this, have a good day or night!

Loved this video! As someone who is going into grade 7 and into a new school (I've only ever had one other school), also for me grade 7 and 8 are in the high school just on a lower floor and it's now called a senior school, and also a bunch of problems with stuff, this kinda helped! I do have friends who are amazing friends, and I know they'd never be rude, especially since one has been my friend before my sister was even born. Anyways, I'm definitely feeling better about going into a new school, with mostly new people and stuff. Thank you, bye.

7th grade (AKA last year) was very difficult for me. My class had about 20 boys and 5 girls (then me, nonbinary, and some genderfluid person), and ALL of the boys were Middle School Boys. I didn't fit in with the girls, either, and the genderfluid person had befriended the Middle School Boys, so... I was alone. At lunch, I had some friends to sit with, being 1 friend who I have known and considered my best for years, then the friends that he made... But since most of them were people who I only knew through him, and since they were all in the same class and I wasn't, I still felt quite lonely. It was even worse when the best friend and I had some friendship drama. It was so hard. For a month, I had to come up with ways to dodge the class when I saw them. I was alone all of the time, so I spent my time drawing characters that made me feel happy instead of doing my schoolwork. There were times I had to eat in a bathroom stall. He and I made up, but... To be honest, I really don't wanna be friends anymore. I don't enjoy spending time with him anymore, and I'm always scared of making him angry. It's not like it's THAT bad that I HAVE to walk on eggshells, it's just, the times we argued were so bad I'm scared of it happening again. We've both said and done some fucked up things to each other. I've made some serious mistakes. The difference is, I apologize. I try to improve. I don't make mistakes like that anymore. But he does none of that. He says, "I'll only apologize if I'm in the wrong." Which is obviously unfair, since he has his own ideas of wrong and right... It's so toxic. I don't wanna see him anymore. I don't wanna look at him. I want him to be somewhere else. But we've tried to stop being friends before, and it didn't work. I don't even understand. But his mental health is really, really bad right now, so if I tried to leave, that would be bad. He needs me and I wish he didn't. I don't wanna be in this position where I have to act as his therapist from time to time, because when that happens, I severely fuck up. And if I didn't have him, I would be friendless. AND, my school is a middle school-high school, so I'm going to be seeing him for the next 5 FUCKING YEARS. God this turned into such a vent. I'm sorry. I needed to get this off my chest. I don't know what to do. I am out of options. I fucking hate this. I just want to escape.

I'm in grade 7, last year was my first year of middle school and I also made a "friend" who betrayed me for no reason. The bullying got so bad that this year my mom had all their classes moved away from mine. I'm endlessly grateful that my mom and teachers cared enough to do that for me. Even though I got a happy ending it's nice to know that other people have gone through it too. Not to sound too sappy.

Amazing video Leamon! I really enjoyed listening to the story and watching you draw and I'm so glad it had a good ending. I was homeschooled for all of middle school so I have no idea what it's like, but apparently it was awful for literally everyone else. But I'm glad it got better! Anyway, I'd love to see more storytime videos like this! ❤️

Omg I agree Middle School is horrible 😫 😭 I get bullied 24/7 and literally everyone hates me and talks bad about me... I love to read and I'm smart so I guess that's offensive for some ppl... I also don't hv TickTok so I'm a "loser" I'm happy to have 3 good friends but I miss my bff so much... sometimes my friends seem like they're not my friends because they talk about stuff I don't know and they don't care if I don't understand... but they do care.. those days I feel horrible. :(

brings me back to 6th grade when I got into an argument with a kid and ended up roaring at him (I was weird kid yes). Got yelled at in front of the whole class and almost suspended for that. The same teacher, later that yr, also yelled at me in front of the whole class again bc I was messing around with a container lid and using it as a fan. Very fun times.

Sometimes I think other people at school don’t like me because I’m too annoying or to talkative and I kinda worry but that doesn’t matter to me anymore because not everyone needs to like me for me. If you feel this way just know your not alone and there’s will always be someone looking out for you and it doesn’t matter what other people think of you, your you and no one can change that.

Hi! Been through the middle school thing already :) I’ll share some tips for the nervous soon-to-be middle schoolers. 1. Don’t care about the social heirarchy, be you and find real friends, don’t try to fit in with “popular” kids who don’t like you, it will only lead to sadness and confusion. 2. Cussing shows you’re a crappy person, for any gals reading this, don’t call ur friends “b*tchs” It’s a huge red flag. 3. NO PHONE I fr lost my phone for two days for texting in class. 4. Drama is a no-no. Most kids who get bullied are prettier and braver than the kids who gossip, don’t make yourself a drama queen/king. 5. Don’t be over sensitive, almost everybody will be bullied at least once in middle school. 6. Don’t date, it will lead to heartbreak and confusion, or could even lead to something like adolescent pregnancy, as awful as it sounds, It’s brutal but y’all need to hear it. 7. Studying is not overrated, Study!!!! Exams will murder you if you don’t 8. Sports and activities: YES. It’s a great way to meet homies outside of school. 9. Remember your life is worth it ❤ you are loved, beautiful and intelligent, suicide is never the answer. Middle school were some of the worst years of my life, I went from super happy and social, to extreme depression and overly introverted. I’m still suffering the effects from mean kids, but I’m getting better. Don’t be like me! Stay strong and call those mean kids and teachers out!!! Love all of you!

I can confirm middle school is the WORST well not so much anymore I switched schools for 7th grade (where I’m from 6th grade is middle school) due to the MESSED UP system at my old school the way they do things was awful, most of the teachers had NO IDEA what they were doing oh and did I mention it was a PRIVATE SCHOOL. My bro still goes to the school and he HATES the system my mom is a teacher and threatened to write an article about the school after they put my bro who had very high math grades in the LOWEST math class and the school is afraid of what my mom can do 🤣

Here in Australia we don't actually call it middle school. We call it primary school. But now that I'm in my last year of being here I'm starting to realise the horrible things that has happened here but also the nice things since I feel you wouldn't judge me for talking about my memories that I remembered while watching this video. First things first when I started kindergarten (also here in Australia it is kindergarten up to year six and for high school it goes from year seven to year eight) I was so excited to be in this brand new school that I've never been to before. Not only that but my best friend that I had since we were born. She's even my neighbour. It was so much fun with all of the events that happened. But one day my best friend and my other friends started to not let me sit with them cus every time I sat with them they would go and sit somewhere else. They started doing this a lot more frequently and soon I had enough and started to sit by myself. Crying about all of my friends including my best friend acting like they don't even like me. Soon they realised what they were doing and said sorry about what they've done and I forgave them. But that's not the worst thing that happened to me in kindergarten. Soon I started getting bullied by boys that weren't even in the same year as me. Which was really sad because I had those bullies all the way up to year three. I never even get to play with my best friend because they always picked on me by telling on me for no reason! Then in year two the saddest thing happened to me. My best friend moved schools! We're still friends to this day but we just don't go to the same schools. There are other bad things that happened to me but I have to go now.

Damn..ya know my school there was 3000 students there and i just only have one crush from all of them. Usually girls in my class are randomly Compliment the seniors which is normal One time a friend of mine asked me, "I've never heard you compliment or say you like someone. " And I said to him, "I'm not interested in anyone in particular. " But the person I like is the one who rides the same car when I was in middle school. I like him because of the way I look at his hands. Usually I like to listen to music and look outside. But this time, I stared at him all the way home. And I felt so bad that I took about thirteen pictures of him. But I don't know what to do with it. I've talked to him. But I don't know how to flirt with other people. So it looks very awkward ;-;

I remember when I was in 6th grade, it was my first year of middle school and I rotated classes with chosen classes that I chose in 5th grade at the end of the day. I was always ( and still am ) a people pleaser and I have a lot of anxiety. So 6th grade was miserable for me until I went to design and modeling where I got to make 3d objects and draw when I got done early! I also loved to draw cats and dragons, in 6th grade I really got better at drawing but…. Kids would ( and still do ) always make fun of me for drawing cats and dragons, they would call me a furry and for some reason they called me a scaly when I drew dragons ( nothing is wrong with furies or being a furry ) , and say bad things about my drawings. They also made fun of my speech, attention span, forgetfulness, and more issues I have. I have been trying to get over it and yet I fell into a deep depression, but don’t worry I’m doing better now ! Jus remember, kids can be mean but don’t listen to them, just be you!
