Been watching your videos for years Evan ! I fell off for a few years due to alcoholism. I’m sober now and getting back into the shape I was in 2015. You’ve always been so genuine and generous with your knowledge about nutrition. From your grocery shopping videos, to your cooking videos and everything in between. I know I don’t know you, but I love you big dawg! You’re truly motivational. Keep on keeping on! You’re helping out so many people!

When I started lifting weights, my girlfriend would always cook, the only thing I ever cooked was eggs and ham, and burgers , when I started seeing Evan cooking and made it look easy, I started to buy seasonings, started cooking what I would see him cook , fish, vegetables (steamed) yams, pulled chicken and pork chops, ANIMAL is different then other bodybuilding companies, and that’s a good thing, learned a lot from these videos, keep them up

Great video and hope we see more. Evan has always been my favorite BBs. I can remember watching his earliest videos 2006-2007 when he was trained by Palumbo getting ready for nationals after wining juniors and honestly those videos are why I did my first shows.
@ApostolosKatsioulas Жыл бұрын
Out of the twelve foods Evan mentions, the one I agree with the most is eggs. I can't digest just egg whites; I've always had diarrhea and I'd rather benefit from the nutrients of the whole egg. Furthermore, my mother was a doctor and well despite her treatment towards me, she always said back in the nineties when everyone was so scared of eggs due to cholesterol that we shouldn't fear consuming whole eggs. When it comes to vegetables, I like to alter; lately I am into zucchini since it's summer anyway. When it comes to caffeine, I drink coffee in the morning, as for tea I am more into green and herbal teas. Currently I am not that into training, so I am not into EAA, or any product related to protein plus I no longer need glutamine; I've suffered from digestive issues and back in the day it truly helped. Finally, thanks Evan for all the information and much love :).

Leave it to The Ox to bring forth the true facts on the bare basic fundamentals. No frills or senseless ramble. The simple single ingredient items , that work also for massing/bulking, can still work for a leaning /dieting approach (with only a few items altered around). These are the vids that I signed up for. Thanks Evan, for keeping it real in a world of false n overblown bs.

I use BCAS branch chain amino acid drink so good. We are big fans of eating whole foods too! I love pickled beets with a salad or cooked one's since childhood. I'm glad my mom loved eating veggies with our meals & also ate salad daily along with protein and carbs were potatoes. We had sweet corn in summer along with local farm fresh brown eggs in central NY where we lived. We lived on Lake Oneida so lived a healthy active life style of swimming, roller skating, rode bikes & walked everywhere we went unless to get groceries,banking. We had a navy doc office & home on our street. A lot I learned living there I learned to plan ahead & be prepared because the nearest small city was 15 miles away.😊👍💪

Fun fact: Iowa state conducted a study that shows if you cook ground meats some where around 70% of the way through and strain it pretty much every meat tested which had fat content up to 35% all had around the same 3-4% fat content after being strained. I prefer ground meat to chicken breast by a lot just because I'm never hungry enough and it's easier to get down.

After only eating chicken with my meals for four years now I'm finding it hard to eat , I've been eating a little more salmon , and beef this year with meals with chicken here , and there . I just need a little break from poultry . My cheat meals have been with my breakfast with boars head beef bacon , which is bought from our local farmers market . It's pretty fatty , but it's been my comfort food , and it don't take me to far off course . Thanks for your time , it means a lot .
