This was a great tutorial, and also a great way to show me that I don't have any kind of patience for After Effects. Much respect to you!

wow so much effort... for just 5 seconds of footage. I'd hate to think what movies like Avatar had to go through for their CGI effects!

@SEThatered12 жыл бұрын
@djcrote76 He doesn't need to be 3d. Matching is done by moving the camera on a boom by the same trajectory in scenery and actor shoot. More work on the stage = less work at post processing.

very cool technique..didn't think you could get this high quality by using only after effects I like it :p

WOW! Skills. That seems like that would take a while and require quite a bit of work...wouldn't there have been a better way to get ledge footage than to *make* the entire thing? I thought you guys used a JIB for parts of the video...couldn't you have just extended the JIB over a ledge? After finishing, did you wish you had tried something else instead?

ah, ic. Well, good work!

LMFAO I seriously thought Finalcutking was on that ledge of a building then when he showed that he wasn't. I then realized that how the hell would he of got that shot off the building going around.

could u plz do a tutorial on how i would take a shot of me in front of a green screen, and place me on top of a 3d model from cinema 4d (essentially the same as you do here, just not quite as elaborate with the background)

Amazing ,, i will back later to test it :P
@nightwingsurfer12 жыл бұрын
why did you choose AE over C4D for the building and why didn't you place Zach in front of a greenscreen? How did you get such a good key from the sky? Love your work. It looks like you spent thousands of hours in front of the computer. Remember to take a break from time to time. ;-)

? it's impossible unless you're on a platform outside of it to get that perfect circular motion going around like here, and in the game. in the game, when you "synchronize" at the top of a viewpoint, it does a 360 around the character looking out. That'd be impossible

This was awesome, but kinda backwards. I mean wouldn't it be a little easier to film a parking lot with a boom, and then green screen the person into the scenery?You don't even need to adjust the lighting if an actor is filmed on the same roof at about the same time.
