They got their work cut out for em. Joburg is fkn rotten. In my area the only ones patrolling and doing any work are the people who live there. Infact more often than not, our DA councilor tells us that money is becoming less and less to do even the most basic of things for the community. The ANC is now in a free fall with its corruption, like they are stealing as much as they can before next election and them loosing.

I think it's amazing what you doing and I do feel safer then my previous province however a part of the problem is also the way people on the streets are treated by communities, if there is more people employed or given a purpose and a means to survive with more rehabilitation programs then I do believe that can also improve the situation and perhaps those people can also get involved in helping monitor or patrol the streets.

I dunno, living in Joburg, the crime is so in your face, and right outside police station who do absolutely nothing about it. It's so prominent that private security companies don't get involved unless it's a client. Because otherwise you'd have a full scale war on the streets. Frankly if they gave us the authority to execute, PSCs could clean shit up, you'd just need many trucks for all the bodies. I bet if we swamped Facebook with people we tagged 'n bagged people would be smiling all day every day as a little bit of justice is taken back.

The DA isn't the primary governing party nor can they spend millions on solving the problems the ANC created and are still creating. It's like trying to put out a forest fire with 1 garden hose, it's just not gonna work. If you want to help those rural areas, tell your brothers and sisters to stop voting ANC and EFF, and maybe a better party can fix the economy, so that more people can work, and afford better living standards by which the DA can gain tax from to further improve those areas and infrastructure in general. A common misconception I hear allot of the majority make is believing money and recourses just fall out of the sky. That is why you can't vote for idiots like Malema or any of the ANC morons, as it's better to elect people who have a history of nation building. The problem is, many of them are white and black people will just have to stop bitching and moaning and let qualified intelligent people actually do the work. For too long has this nation's disposition has been determined by fools who racialize everything, because of past events. Can't move forward if your people are still living in the past and all the ANC and EFF do is constantly tell people that the only thing they will ever be, is helpless victims that need to rely on government for everything. Like how half the nation already is surviving on 350 grants. There is no future for anyone with that bullshit. It's all about teaching people to be self sufficient, not be entitled beggars expecting handouts.

Well a couple thousand cops, over a couple million people, yeah perhaps they're trying to get much of the Cape settled before taking on the big challenges. Also you can't expect DA to spend what little money they get from tax not even being the primary government, to just drop on solving crime, poverty and joblessness. You have to consider the DA isn't in charge, therefor their power is limited and so is their income. In a country where the national government ANC is still looting and destroying the economy so much that poverty is going up and up, thus increasing crime. Fix the economy, and you'll fix everything else. Simple conclusion to make. So untill the ANC isnt kicked out, you cant expect the DA to do everything, they have to serve their tax payers first. We are talking billions of Rands needed.
