Just wondering, if the cabin pressure fails does the cockpit get an audio alarm?

Yes, if the cabin altitude goes above 10,100ft, the 'cabin alt hi' alarm will sound.

@@rancosteel In this case, rapid depressurization occurred at a high altitude. Pilots only have seconds of useful conscious to react and don the oxygen mask. Before the 2000s, checklists and memory items usually didn’t stress the importance of donning the mask first. This is was most likely doomed the flight.

Going back to 60 recurrent haven’t flown the 60 in a while worried about the spoiler checks after engine start! Any shorter method than the expanded checklist!

As for an abbreviated form of the spoiler checks...it's hard to abbreviate but basically make sure to put the flaps down, hold the spoiler test button, and simultaneously turn the yoke until the 'spoiler mon' annunciator illuminates. Then turn the yoke without pressing the button to make sure it doesn't illuminate. Do this for both sides. Then put the spoiler into arm and make sure it retracts after increasing thrust for each thrust lever. Then manually extend and retract them.

Don't worry, it's standard practice to physically disconnect the batteries after shut down. People without a type rating and no experience flying the jet will have no idea how to reconnect them, let alone where to find them in the aircraft. They will never be able to even turn on the aircraft. (Nor will I ever show that procedure). These videos are meant for new Learjet 60 pilots and those going through a type rating course.
