@@PatrickHeinrichPilot That's good, actually. It would be excellent if you put some social network (Instagram) in the description to have other kind of material about the Lear.

Several fatal lear crashes have occurred where pilots made turns in low speed entry. As an owner I forbid my pilots from doing any low speed turns into any airports. I don’t care what air traffic control says. I would rather maneuver at high speed altitude and enter runway straight on, and that is only landing approach I would allow on this plane. It’s pilots clearly don’t know stall speed parameters when turning because it’s much higher than the book says!

Sounds like good advice! If I remember correctly I was flying a standard RNAV approach, nothing out of the ordinary.

Subbed. Fantastic upload - thank you. I am a big fan of the Learjet although I do not fly. Question : right at landing and for several hundred metres along the runway you turned your helm some 20 degrees to starboard. Are you actually turning the plane to the right with the flaps and ailerons and tail plane or is that actually turning the front wheel to the right at that point? I assume the former not the latter. Does the front wheel ever turn once the plane is on the ground or does it always stay straight ahead and you steer the plane on the ground with thrust from 1 or 2 engine? Thank you so much.
@PatrickHeinrichPilot2 жыл бұрын
After landing you turn the aileron into the wind to prevent the wing from rising. You only have to do that in crosswind situations. If the wind is coming from the front you can keep the aileron neutral. We turn the aircraft at low speeds with our nose wheel steering. So normally no differential thrust or braking is necessary.

Thanks for the video, its really great. Im studying for being a pilot, and i would love to know... Exactly why is it important to know the CAS? how does It helps you as a pilot when all the important speeds for flying are in the IAS gauge?. Same with EAS...(unless you want to use the formula to calculate TAS). Hope you can answer, there Is not a lot of info at internet to clearly answer this. Thank you!
@PatrickHeinrichPilot4 жыл бұрын
CAS and EAS are not necessary while flying. They are used to calculate TAS from IAS, as shown in the video. We use IAS until approx. 30000ft, then we switch to Mach Number. I use TAS while cruising, I usually cruise at 450kt TAS. Hope that helps a little.

4000 litres is the maximum capacity. With the current fuel prices you are looking at 2200€ / 2500$
