You say “Lemmy”, You have my attention. I am looking forward to trying these techniques. Thank you for the great lesson.

I love these. I also use the route and octave chord at the same time and slide it up and down during a bit of a fill or what not when I used to play in Church. It really thickens up certain passages in a song. But you do have to use with caution. But if I am doing this finger style, I use index and middle for the power chord, index, middle and ring, for the extended power chord, and index and ring for the octave chord.

As usual Dan, another great lesson. Just a quick question regarding plectrum thickness, is there any particular size that should be used? Cheers.
@OnlineBassCourses2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! No, not really. It’s completely down to personal preference. I like the .73 Dunlops.

Thanks Dan, this sure uses a different part of my brain - in a good way. I like those power chords, I tried chucking until I finally found my plectrum. Can the root, fifth and octave be used anywhere across the fretboard? Have you done chords for Jimi Hendrix Purple Haze? That would be fun.
@OnlineBassCourses2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t done that, no, but you can apply these shapes to it. Anywhere on the E and A strings, yes. Root 5 only if the root is on the D string.
