Cool tutorial! Thanks! Question: In 8:25, you drag several elements to create some space in the center do the page. What would be the best way to "officially" define that space so it's the same across different pages/elements? Perhaps by creating another guide?

Yup, you can create the same spacing on a masterpage. Or the quick and dirty way of doing it is just make a line or shape that's the same width and "copy in place" for the next page.

I started using InDesign when it was in Beta. It’s a juggernaut. Combined with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat, it’s nearly unbeatable. I do, however use the Afinity suite of software at home, because it’s way cheaper, and almost note-for-note in comparison to Adobe.

I have a few assumptions, but I'm not 100%. You mention guides and gutters but I have no idea what that is. Just a few examples. I think knowing these terms and concepts would make the video more useful for a very green beginner like me.

Not sure if anyone else heard that picas is an InDesign measurement. A pica is a 6th of an inch and has 12 points, this measurement system has been used in printing for a very long time, 72 points per inch. Points sizing is how typefaces or fonts are categorised, if you notice when you are picking a typeface it isn’t measured in anything but points, regardless if you are working in inches or metric etc.
