The best way to memorize this is to think in music when the tonal mark is ā áǎà the note in the first one stays constant the second one the note slides up, third one slides down and up quickly and the fourth one slides down

I got them all right at the end! I know 0 Chinese but this lesson made it simple to understand. Probably going to keep watching again to keep practicing tones and write the diagrams in a notebook because they really helped. I'm so happy I found your videos! I have been wondering about the "length" of the tones for a while now. Thank you for clarifying that! Also, I always have a problem with the way I sound when I do the 4th tone. My voice doesn't sound as strong and my pitch doesn't actually sound like it's dropping to the bottom of my vocal range. Is that a problem?

In real life speaking I feel that the 4th Tone doesn't always have a full drop, but practicing it with the full drop helps when we speak in a more relaxed way. Don't worry about getting it perfect right away, listen to native speakers and keep working on your pronunciation, it will only get better and better!
