If you're familiar, can you talk about the decapeptyl shot? I had to take two of them as a trigger shot, and it was painful and made me feel sick. I started blacking out on the second one/almost fainted😂.

Hi Dr. My Vitamin D level is 16 nmol/L normal range is 50-150. I just wanted to check if i should keep trying to conceive or shall i stop trying for few months? Not sure when my levels would be optimal. Can you please suggest??

keep trying is what I would tell you if you were my patient, and take vitamin D daily and with your meal that has the most fat in it for best absorption. If your D is low, your partner's D is likely low too so be sure that you both are taking D.

Thanks for your reply. I just wanted to check if i get pregnant say suppose this month and my levels are only 16 (just went for test couple of days back and have not started supplements yet as I am going to see my GP next week) will it cause any problems and should I avoid trying this month as my ovulation is just about to happen in a day or 2 i guess? I am a bit worried, please advise.

@@gagandhillon3051 16 is low but it isn't super low. If your D was 6 then I would say: hold off on getting pregnant.

Thank you for this Dr. Aimee. Currently on my first round with Gonal F pen. If I want to make use of the overfill, would you just suggest hanging onto a couple pens once they are done and then pull the meds together to get another dose? Or if you pull one out of a cartridge using an insulin syringe, can you just put that insulin syringe in fridge until you have enough for an extra dose? My dr has me on 100 IU for IUI. Would love to take advantage of the extra medications in the pen but not sure how to store it. Thank you!

Hi Dr.Aimee im glad you're showing this type of video. I was prescribe to do 150UI on my second cycle with the Follistim pen which I jad 15mm follicle around cycle day 10-stopped woth Follistim and had the HCG Pregnyl 5000UI on CD18- yet on CD19 I had a lot of bleeding, which my doc said it might just be like a mid cycle bleeding due to the hormones. But i had to use a normal pad. What is your opinion on this? Still on my wait for a PT :/ Thanks!

Ask your doc: 1. have you ruled out a uterine polyp 2. Should I start progesterone? 3. Can I be seen to have my cervix evaluated. have you ruled out a cervical polyp? and Lastly, it could be your period so get seen if the flow increases so you can have your levels checked again, ultrasound done and plan made! and I'm always hoping it's implantation. Sending you positive vibes!

@@EggWhisperer Hi again, im on cycle day 30 now which i had my trigger shot on CD 13. (not knowing if was the period before), I still did't get my period until now, do you think i should test now? Or maybe the trigger shot will delay may period? (i tested 14DPO to see if the HCG was out of my System and definately yes.)

@@145evansjoy6 Then you could have a cyst. Check with your doctor . Have them do an ultrasound if your period doesn't start in the next few days and do a blood pregnancy test too in case the urine tests aren't sensitive enough.

Hi Dr. Aimee, thanks for every video that you made in egg whisperer show. It's really help me to understand more about ivf. My name is Tika. I'm living Tenerife, Spain. I'm in second IVF cycle now, still on stims..but I have a question about how to insert progesterone pills. Here the hospital give me utrogestan/progeffik that I need to insert via vaginal, but in the package there's no applicator to insert the pill. My question is what is the perfect position when I want to insert & how deep I need to insert with my finger? and second question how long do I need to lay down to make sure the oil is absorb? Thank you

Absorption is best in the upper 1/3rd of the vagina. The vagina is about 3-4 inches long. Going in up to your second knuckle on your index finger is what I tell my patients to do! Hope this helps. Lie down IF you can for 30 minutes after with the brand that you're using. But as always, talk to your doctor because we don't use that brand in the US and they may have special tips and tricks to help!
