Thank you for saying “there is noting wrong with you” because a lot of the times our doctors and medical professionals tell us “you can’t have babies, you are infertile, you need to go see an infertility doctor, PCOS never cures” so thank you for giving hope! I'm one of the lucky ones who cleaned up their diets, lost weight, exercised, totally eliminated sugar. I was still single, not even trying to conceive. I was just doing all those things once I learned that I had PCOs at 29 to help my body conceive when I meet someone valuable and when I'm ready to have kids. I know it sounds weird, but I was getting my body ready. I've been irregular all my life. But all these changes really help clear up my skin and improved my cycle. Fast forward, I met my husband at 32, also took stuff like vitex and conceived 2 healthy kids out of the blue, we weren't even trying. I was just off the pill. If it happens, fine, if not, fine, no pressure. They are both great surprises. My son is now 4. My daughter is 18 months. 2 kids is more than I could ever dream of so I'm good. Almost 39, I won't push my luck. I am well aware that I was lucky and that a lot of women are struggling to conceive naturelly. I'm truly grateful everytime I look at my kids. I am praying for the ones who are trying. Good luck. Try to do all the things she mentionned, lose weight, clean up you lifestyle. It won't hurt. Fingers crossed you'll conceive soon.

So I just want to put this out there. I had undiagnosed PCOS for all my adolescent life. I had 1 period when I was 12 and no more after that instead of believing I was a virgin and there might be something wrong with I was made to take pregnancy tests. I ended up with endometrial cancer because of the build up when I was old enough to get my own insurance. Ignorance is powerful. So I appreciate what you are doing by informing people. You and people like you are helping make a huge difference. I went through all the treatments you mentioned and then had to do 6 rounds of ivf to finally get pregnant with my daughter.

I also had undiagnosed PCOS my entire adolescence. Plus too much prolactin. I was always chubby, could never lose weight. My first period I had when I was 13. Then I had 2 more until I was 19 and they figured out what I was suffering from. I wish I had gone to the doctor but I honestly never knew it was an issue, until I got abnormal hair growth and acne. We need to educate girls about their bodies. This lacked in sex ed.

Im crying watching this. I’ve been trying for almost two years with nothing..I track my crazy cycle and I’ve been taking ovulation tests every day and have only ever gotten a positive once, and even when I tried in that window and even the days around it, nothing. I am a bit overweight as well and I’ve tried so many different diets and nothing. It’s so painful to constantly have people telling me that if I just lose weight and exercise more that it will work, as if I haven’t already tried that. I don’t think the people around me understand how painful it is for me emotionally to struggle with this and that it’s not as simple as they think, and that them making it feel that way is just insensitive and makes me feel worse. So Thank you for making this video. It makes me feel a lot more comforted and understood and like I’m not alone. ❤️thankfully, I will be able to go to a reproductive specialist soon.. good luck to everyone here on their journey to pregnancy

I thought it might be worthwhile to say that while Metformin may not do as much directly for getting pregnant, it did help me to lose weight when I had been trying for a long time. With insulin resistance/PCOS losing weight can really be difficult and for me Metformin was/is a very helpful solution and in that way was also very helpful in my fertility journey.

I have PCOS with two children. My partner and I have talked about having one more baby in the future. My biological clock is ticking and in my personal experiences, maintaining a normal weight was the key for me to conceive quickly. I was overweight at the beginning of my relationship with my partner, we had unprotected relations for years with no pregnancy. I lost all the extra weight, and i became pregnant quickly after I reached a normal weight for my height. If you are a beautiful lady TTC struggling with PCOS, I can't say this is the answer to everyone but in my personal experience..I highly suggest being sure you are exercising and watching your weight while TTC. Try not to stress too much. Get plenty of rest Enjoy intimacy with your partner and forget you are TTC when possible. That was another thing for my experience.. pregnancy seemed to happen when I wasn't expecting it right at that time ❤ lots of baby dust to every woman here trying to find some answers.

Thank you for this video, I have many of the symptoms of PCOS and now I'm starting to plan to have a biological kid. I was happy to hear you talking about the vegetable protein choice. I'm already doing that since I am vegan (even though it is for ethical reasons it was beautiful to hear you say that!) I'd like to add that being a bit overweight myself, this vegan lifestyle it's been helping me to lose weight and my period has regulated to the point of having 1-4 days of difference between cycles, as opposed to the difference of 8-12 days I had 4 years before. This video was very insightful and helped me understand more about how the brain works and reacts, so thank you for the time and effort to do this :)

So I have really regular periods, to the day, and I’ve had my thyroid checked too, and I’m 8 years I’ve only been pregnant once and it was chemical. I’ve had another GYN say the same, if periods are regular, you should ovulate. What is the likelihood you aren’t ovulating if your period is regular?

Out of curiosity, why can't ongoing ovulation medications cure PCOS? I don't understand why ovulation induction medication is only given for ovulation purposes when TTC with PCOS rather than on an ongoing basis if ovulation is what the body is 'supposed' to do in healthy individuals and why they can't cure the condition in certain cases if it's done on an ongoing basis and you get rid of those accumulated partially matured follicles in the ovaries by doing this. Can you clarify the causal mechanism of why PCOS cannot ever be cured through that approach if the partially matured follicle accumulation in the ovaries is causing your PCOS symptoms? Thanks.

Hi Dr. Crawford! your videos have been really informative and helpful. I would like to understand do people diagnosed with PCOS always have it (meaning ever since their first menstruation their ovaries release more eggs each month thus messing up the hormonal balance)? Do the symptoms simply show at a later time for some than others? If someone had a successful pregnancy before but now is showing symptoms of PCOS and having difficulty conceiving again, what are the chances that PCOS only developed after the first pregnancy? And what factors could’ve caused the development if it is new? Thank you so much!

Hi! Just found your channel ❤️ I started seeing a fertility specialist and found out I have PCOS, uterine fibroids, thick uterine lining (for a year now), bleeding for most of the past year and the fertility specialist sighed very loudly while discovering the third thing 😳 hahaha!!! So I was wondering what causes all these things to happen all at once. I unfortunately don't know anyone who has all the same issues as me.

Hi Natalie!! I LOVE your channel and podcast! As someone with PCOS who is trying to conceive, I am eating up all the videos and episodes to learn as much as I can. Are you still planning to do a live video for PCOS questions? I hope so! I'd be first in line! In case you don't...I am going to jot my question here, and maybe you or someone else might answer :) I am curious about follicles that have remained on the ovaries for an extended period of time. When PCOS ovaries try to ovulate but don't, does the vault just keep releasing eggs? How long do the follicles stick around? AND when clomid or femara is taken and one of the follicles finally grows large enough to release an egg, is there any indication that there is a higher chance for genetic abnormalities? Thank you and love love love the work you do!

My daughters doc said she would give her Letrozole if the Clomid didnt work after 6 cycles. Well she only ov once on the Clomid. She just went to the doctor and now she said she didnt say that.. that Letrozole wasnt FDA approved for infertility so she wont write it now. She said she could try Clomid again in May since you can only use 6 cycles a year of Clomid. She also upped her dose of Metformin from 1000 mg a day to 2000 mg. She has been BBT for a yr now. She has only ovulated 3 times, once naturally, once on clomid alone and once on metformin alone. She is so frustrated. She was already keto, lost 80 lbs and even that didnt make her ovulate.
