Watching movies and series in that language really worked out for me very well Coz one might learn all the grammar and stuff but while watching a series when you come across familiar words u get a better understanding of their usage . I'm learning turkish. I don't even know if it will ever come to a serious use , will I be able to go to Turkey but still just can't stop myself wanting to know more about this beautiful language. 💜 Earlier,I used to watch turkish lessons just for fun and curiosity, gradually I started understanding it, things started kind of going in my brain ( lack of better words😅 ) Now I can understand much of the language .My mind thinks in Turkish ,books filled with turkish. In my case i want to go to Turkey someday so that all my efforts don't go wasted ! 💁😄 All began from a series randomly recommended to me by youtube !💁 *Just wanted to share my thoughts , I hope you would read 😊🙂...and make it to the end 😄*

I'm learning Turkish right now. Apparently, it has so many surprisingly similar words to Russian, which is my mother tongue. I mean, Russian has borrowed some words in a very weird way. The most common example - the word "saray". In Turkish it means "palace", but in Russian it means "a tiny building where you store your dirty shovels and plows, or maybe where you keep your pigs or chickens". And living in Georgia (the country, not the state in the US) really helps me immerse into the language: I can just go in a grocery store and get some reading practice :D

Any video that has a thumbnail saying "learn any language in 1 month" is total clickbait. Every single one of these videos always walks that bold claim back with disclaimers in the description and the video, because the implication is that you'll be fluent in 1 month, which obviously is near possible. This is some Nathaniel Drew like scam.
