Without a doubt, it's the best educational video you've done, and I've watched all of yours. You can go watch ANY RV manufacturers plant tour videos, and they will show the exact way they put together an RV and sooooo proud of what they do because theirs is the best built (and they are ALL built the same) and you expose everything that is done wrong. All they are doing is coming up with new floor plans and then.....get'em built, get'em out, get'em sold. Keep up the great work, Joe!!!!

I live by those GRK screws. I especially like the #8 truss head cabinet screws. Thanks for your videos, you are a true service to the industry.

That's a great idea with the ladder support!

Well Marc, I did go to the better funded schools of my state...lol

I’d rather have the compression type A/C with no duct work but that’s not how they make them. I’ve had a couple houses and they are built like crap too everything is built poorly and cheaply. I think everything is designed this way so they can charge taxes on all of it everything is regulated by the government so the government puts regulations in place to make crappy stuff so they can charge more taxes on it when it inevitably breaks it’s why everything and everbody has to be licensed or permitted everything is designed to funnel taxes back to the state.

You still can get a lower control. But yes, designed to fail on purpose. Thanks for watching, share.

What's your thoughts about stripping off dicor on roof penetrations and using eternabond tape instead? One day maybe I can afford a complete re-do to your standards.
@RVROOFINSTALL2 ай бұрын
Scrape off the dicrap. Use Rapid self leveling at Home Depot. Buy a can of 3m 80. Spray over the area you'll be applying the Rapid. Wait to dry. Apply Rapid..

@@RVROOFINSTALL Thanks for that advice. KZbin won't let me post a link, but I think you are referring to the Rapid Set brand Self-Leveling Sealant in Gray, not to any of the other "rapid setting sealants" Home Depot carries from other brands, correct?

@@RVROOFINSTALL me again. What do you recommend for side panel seam sealant?
@RVROOFINSTALLАй бұрын
@tomm_d Rapid non sag adhesive sealant. I think it just comes white and gray. Sika is good as well. They may have it in black.

I know you guys are booked solid, and it's also impossible to know how much work each job will need (til you peel it back). How do you work with fulltimers for planning and scheduling, since they can't really just leave their rigs for weeks/months?
@RVROOFINSTALL2 ай бұрын
As long as they understand what it takes to do the job right. Some get antsy on us when we're working our best to solve a problem, dry it out or have to fabricate plates or whatever to satisfy the build to last. We van book you in so we have an open bay when you arrive. We try not to hold folks up in lodging if at all possible. Give us a call tmrw, let's see all what you got going on.

Hard to watch with all the camera movement.

I apologize... I should have dramamine sponsor the video.

I don’t know what’s better, seeing the manufacturers exposed for shoddy work or the final product you guys deliver. The owners of this rig have to feel better now.

They can certainly feel better about the roof, but what about the rest of it? I am sure that the shoddy construction applied to the entire build and not just the roof.
