In this video, I show you how you can use the free online CAD program 'Codeblocks' to generate complex geometries using drag and drop code.
Although, on the face of it, quite simple. Codeblocks could be used to generate some really complex shapes that would be incredibly time consuming in other CAD packages.
In a similar way to parametric modelling, codeblocks can be used with variables, that allow you to quickly change designs in a matter of clicks.
To start with, in this video, I show the basics of the software and then run through some examples.
Let me know if you have any questions and I'll provide additional guidance.
Hopefully, you'll enjoy this video and put the method into practice, I'd love to see/hear what you make. Comment down below and help to inspire others.

Really helpful I didn’t have a clue about this option in tinkercad but the video has cleared things up quite nicely 😊 quick question Callum what software do you recommend for simple 3D designs excluding tinkercad. Thanks

Thanks Paul, it’s really quite fun to play around with, quite powerful for a seemingly simple bit of software. For 90% of my CAD work I personally use Fusion360. You can do the simple things fairly easily and also learn more complex stuff as and when it’s needed. I believe you can still sign up for a hobbyist license on their website and download for free.

I want to print rubber diaphragm for my pond air pump. What rubber filament would you recommend as it needs to be strong but firm and long lasting Cheers Graham

TPU is probably your best bet, compare them via the shore number to get the desired flexibility. Most common is around Shore 95A. The lower numbers eg shore 90A are softer and more flexible.
