The dark side bet is the best it's ever been. With all the plexiglass in the shooters way, it's a better bet than ever before. Load up that back side with three more numbers and color up when that big red hits. Craps is the greatest example to contradict the saying, "Don't blame the victim." It's always the victims fault, they bet on the wrong side. Cheers!

Lol. Yeah, I bet dark side a lot, and I took a bunch of shit for it from a bunch of frat boys on a cruise. It was hilarious. These dudes were just spraying the dice, all the while telling me how much I suck. Walked off with double my buy in within 15 minutes. :) Never underestimate the power of the dark side.

The lay box is small. By Design(?) to encourage you to put your money in the big box (with the worse ratio of winning) along with all the other players. The whole concept of a Casino is a psychological exercise in order for the punter to lose money. Free drinks, free food, free rooms, girls in short skirts and heels serving you drinks that dull your senses (my wife complains about that - where are the muscle men in bow ties and tight pants serving drinks to the ladies? Very sexist to cater only to men.) An atmosphere of bells and whistles designed to make you think the room is constantly winning and no clocks or windows to measure a passage of time. And it works!!! And I love it!
@brizzlex19192 жыл бұрын
It's not sexist. The vast majority of players are male so obviously the casino is going to cater more to where their money is coming from.

If the table is cold, you have to adapt and sometimes that means playing the dark side... I have had a guy walk up next to me and take hit after hit on fast 7 outs and then get pissed at me for winning while I stood there not saying a word. He literally picked up his chips and went to another table to get away from me like I was bad juju or something... lol

as for betting the pass and the dont pass at the same time. I've seen/heard of a system that involved betting both and then taking odds on the point number you favor. so you could take odds on the Pass if a point of 5, 6, 8, or 9 is rolled; but take odds on the Dont if a 4 or 10 is rolled. Has anyone seen this done on a live table before?

On the DC bar what’s the point of laying odds? If I lose that bet, I’d also lose the odds. If I win the bet, 10 on the line and 12 in odds so the payout would be 20. Why not just put 20 on the line which will still pay 20 and not worry about the math or risk $2 for no reason. Could use that $2 for the Horn or C/E. On the pass I understand because the odds are 2-1. But Don’t Pass it seems like a bad bet. Or am I missing something? Still new to this but trying to learn.
@ColorUp3 жыл бұрын
It’s the same as pass odds but in reverse. Yes, you bet more to win back less, but you are paid true fair odds of rolling the number. In the dont odds case, you are always the favorite and more likely to win. You get paid more on pass odds because you are always underdog and more likely to lose.

is it better to lay the point or be on the dont pass is there a advantage any where
@ColorUp3 жыл бұрын
The dont pass will have a lower house edge, and then pile on as many lay odds as you can at zero house edge. Laying the number the house edge varies by number but there will always be a 5% commission
@jamesnewberry29453 жыл бұрын
I get all of that Vig is overstated when you play the dont your exposure to the 7 11 has a devastating disadvantage on the roll prior to the established point so the option is to bypass the come out and lay the point if you lay the point you wil not any losses to the 7 11is that worth giving all that odds lay money worth it
@ColorUp3 жыл бұрын
Well it factors in because we are dealing with house edge. BUT that only is a concern over long term play, so it’s up to you, lay the number and pay vig, you always have the advantage to win, vs lower cost over long period of time but face the come out roll
@jamesnewberry29453 жыл бұрын
@@ColorUpI got all that The question is what offers the higher % of wins vs $ gains The lay or the DP Not trying to be a rude or anything I am playing for 50 yrs I am a wrong better for 10 yrs I get out with 3 to 4 wins and I head home and that has been working. My risk is 10 units I do about 150 visits a year.
@ColorUp3 жыл бұрын
Sorry, you would have to consult a mathematician for your answer. But the variables are many, results of dice, time at table etc. with your style of short play, I would think you are better off with the lays you make, and avoiding that 2:1 loss rate on the dp line

The lay to meet the table min is a casino rule not a craps rule. I lay 6 dollars on the 6&8 on a $15 table all the time in New England. (Dont play at Foxwoods so I dont know the rules there.) 2 casinos in Mass 2 in Ri and 1 in Ct let anything go on the lays.
@9wild209 Жыл бұрын
I need to kno the payout on the Dont with $25 a hand with the odds ex . $25 on 6/8 to get pay $25 you need to put out 60 . I don’t kno $25 for 4/10 and $25 for 5/9to get paid evenly?
@ColorUp Жыл бұрын
It’s opposite of pass odds. 4/10 pays 1:2 so $50 odds bet wins $25. With 5/9 pays 2:3 so $45 pays $30. The 6/8 pays 5:6 so $30 pays $25
@tommy7045812 жыл бұрын
I was under the impression that a player needed to win the table minimum when laying a number directly (e.g. $31 no 5) but can lay odds on their don't for whatever, as long as it was more than 1 chip. If a don't player has to win the table minimum on their DP/DC, wouldn't a pass line player have to play the table minimum?
@ColorUp2 жыл бұрын
it’s just going to depend on the house rules, each casino can and do very on specifics like that.
