My card is the ten of clubs. When people are asked to name any card, the ten of clubs is one of the least mentioned cards. Quite fittingly, when people are asked to name any magician, I too am one of least mentioned ones.

My card would be the 9 of clubs. I went 10/15 years wanting to learn magic, at 35 I decided to learn & the first time I done a trick in public they picked the 9 of clubs. So this now represents confidence & I can achieve anything if I put my mind to it.

But I know that the main thing is hard work and using all the opportunities that life gives people. And I'm also the most aware that opportunities don't come out of nowhere.

Hi Jay - Thanks for all the content you put out, greatly appreciated. If I had to choose one card that represents me it would have to be the Ace of Clubs. This is because for me it represents a couple things. The club (in my opinion) is the most complicated suit with all its turns and shapes, yet an ace is the simplest card denomination. It reminds me that with simplicity we can sometimes portray complexity in anything we do and that this should be taken into consideration when we are performing magic - we don't always need a complicated method/plot to a trick. We often neglect the simple effects that can be as powerful and seem just as complex with the right performance and believing that this is actually happening rather than viewing it just as a trick. This is why I would choose the Ace of Clubs - Complexity within simplicity.

Thanks for this great trick Jay. The card that would represent me the best, is the ten of hearts, because I got my first magic tricks when I was ten years old. And the heart symbol, as the symbol for love, means a lot to me. Without love I dont think I would still be doing magic. Also the ten of hearts is the 23rd card in the chased-deck-order and with my mathematical background, I really like the birthday paradox (when there are at least 23 people in a room, the chance at least two of them sharing the same birthday is more than 50 percent).

Psychologists have determined that it is one of the least selected cards when people are asked to choose one. To the average person, it's not very special like the king of hearts or ace of spades. It's quite mundane, like the 6 of diamonds or 4 of spades. But it's still royalty! The hidden gem. My Queen.

Dear Jay, I've watched your content back to the Nickelodeon days when you used to do tutorials. I love how much thought you put into tricks and how fun you make them. If I had to identify a card that would best describe me. I think it would be the Jack of Hearts. Why? Because i consider myself to be a jack of many trades kinda guy. I'd be the 9 of acorns. Why? 9 has somewhat mathematically interesting properties. And acorn is a very unexpected suit for English speakers (but common in many parts of Europe). But if forced to the typical English-world deck, then clubs. It is not a symbol you can easily guess the name of, so it requires knowledge.
