A cutting edge idea that blew my mind was that to improve your English you need massive comprehensible input. However, we need to avoid pitching far flung ideas that say that you can learn in just a day. We need to read voraciously not just going after the low-hanging fruit.

Learning a language for free is an unprecedented idea which is not far-flung at all. What's more, you don't need to make all-out effort for it anymore by the internet technology arisen. I am not pitching an idea that people should not pay for it. Instead, we should focus on the low-hanging fruit first in English such as common phases, basic grammar rules which have many explanations on the internet, before getting overwhelmed by the courses. Also, you have to keep yourself voraciously for the massive amount of different English learning materials. In the meantime, being optimistic for your future improvements.
