Learn Esraj & Dilruba Online I use a Cello Bow so I can hold it overhand & it's a CodaBow Joule for Cello. It's slightly heavier than a Regular Bow to compensate for the loss of volume.

Well done. Very few esraj videos on here. Regarding using a cello bow.. They are easier to use and lighter but don't you find the sound a little soft and smooth? I find it loses volume and the vocal texture.

Yes you are right, they are lighter than a regular Dilruba bow or Sarangi bow but not enough to be bothered by it. I just make up for that and pull down a little bit harder when needed. The advantage is when you need to play softly, its effortless and like you said smooth
