Nice video, just a couple notes... I just bought a Big Bend model, and the left side of the lower cubby is for wireless phone charging. And the questions about the pushbutton in the centre of the headlight knob... it turns the foglights on/off, if you have them. I should mention also, the turning radius is tight, and I am very pleased with the ability to turn into tight spaces or make a U-turn in far less space than most other vehicles.

My first Bronco was a full-size '83 with a 351 4bbl and removable fibreglas top! Went through a few other vehicles until I leased a 2000 Winstar wagon for work, which was followed by a 2004 Freestar, then an '08 Flex, a 2011 Escape, 2014 Escape and a 2018 Escape. Question about this vehicles 4x4 capability... is it full time AWD? Or front wheel drive until you manually turn on 4x4 modes? Or much like the original bronco's... rear wheel drive?
@CarsWithSteve

It's an intelligent 4x4 that the vehicle uses, so it'll distribute power to the wheels as necessary. If you drop it into a GOAT mode, that'll have an effect on traction/stability/RPM and wheel power distribution depending on the mode you choose

The car seems very well thought. I have seen it in action off road and it was impressive. It would be perfect if they made the rear seats leg room bigger with retractable seat, so we can choose between cargo or increased leg room. But overall it is very good tech, good off road, good normal road, good power, lot of cargo room, good seat. It will move Ford up in the review charts if it is reliable. Latest news is that when doing off road driving, the transfer case overheats and the vehicle goes into limp mode. Some things never change: FORD == Fix Or Repair Daily
@CarsWithSteve
@CarsWithSteve 3 жыл бұрын
There was an excellent article by Jalopnik where they chat with engineers and go over the data from the test drives where the vehicle went into limp mode. If you read the reviews from the media that experienced issues (there were 2) it could boil down to user error. The CNET reviewer said she was driving the Bronco Sport "like a freaking idiot" just before she got the limp mode warning. So you have to ask yourself, how are you going to treat YOUR car? The Bronco Sport is a fancied up Escape, with beefed up clutch size, shorter final drive ratio and changes to the driveshaft. It wouldn't have anywhere near the same capabilities as the full size Bronco. I'd be curious what happens with drivers using it off-road when it's hotter outside but we won't know that for a few more months. @@CarsWithSteve i agree. I have seen theford reliability tester bringing this incredible car between rocks that i really, really thought it was impossible to go through, but the bronco sport did it. This is really an impressive car. And now it is high on my list. This car do everything, city, snow, off road, practical, very bright idea like the cargo table and double layer, and without forget the bottle opener..the sound system is decent, the seat confortable, the power is great. Maybe they could make the rear seat retractable to gain more leg room, and work on gas consumption with the 2.0 turbo. If in the next revision they can improve these last two points, this car will become one of the best seller in usa and canada.

@@CC-gt3ro Drop a link to the video you saw with that rock crawl, would be cool to check it out! I like the extra GOAT modes you get in the Badlands as well! I have noticed that Ford vehicles get more powerful or have slightly better fuel economy year over year. The Escape is a great example... The 2019 had a 1.5L 4 cylinder.. then Ford tweaked it to a 1.5L 3 cylinder with cylinder de-activation giving it even better performance without sacrificing performance. Pretty damn cool
