nenabunena I did not say that we came from Malaysia. I only said that we are from the same ancestors. Lots of people from the Philippines according to history are Malays, Chinese, etc. and it is because of barter.
@nenabunena
@nenabunena 8 жыл бұрын
Noti Shounen you said we were from the Malaysian races, referring to the Malay ethnicity, we aren't. Both Malays in Malaysia and Indonesians came from the Philippines. The Philippines has an outdated educational system, they teach Filipinos that they came from both Malays and Indonesians which isn't true, it's the other way around. That outdated theory was from Otley Beyer more than 100 years ago, the Philippines just never updated their history books due to incompetence, ignorance, and because education isn't a high priority in the Philippines, hence ignorant Filipino in turn. Look up the Austronesian theory if you're really interested in finding out the origin of Filipinos

It just amazes me how we can still see similarities between the Austronesian people after migrating miles apart centuries ago. My native language is Chuukese (Mortlockese Dialect) from the Federated States of Micronesia. The counting is almost similar. 3 - Tatlo - Elu 5 - Lima - Limo 6 - Anim - Onou 7 - Pito - Fisu 8 - Walo - Walu

In Philippines we have a Latin city and thats where i live, its Zamboanga, we in Zamboanga call ourselves Zamboangeños or Zamboangenyos, our language "Chavacano" was mostly called broken spanish, bcoz the type of spanish here is impolite spanish and its not all spanish some are tagalog/filipino words, or maybe some portuguese

Majority of the Filipino right now prefers to use the Spanish numbers or tag-lish (Tagalog-English). well just sayin Spanish numbers like: isa = uno dalawa = dos tatlo = tres etc..

It is a bit complicated in Cebuano (bisaya). Uno dos tres kwatro.. onse dose tresi.. baynte uno.. nobentay noybe.. comes local.. isa gatos. Then back to spanish.. Siento uno siento dos.. Dos sientos quinientos.. then back to local.. isa ka libo.. then back to spanish.. Dos Mil tres mil.. desi sais mil. hahaha! Easy but complicated indeed!

It's not derived from Malay or Spanish. Tagalog has its roots in proto-austronesian language, same as Malay. That's why you'll find similarities between the two languages. It's not a loanword or a borrowed words, it is a native word that came from the common ancestor

Probably coz most of the words or phrases used in the vids are deep tagalog/filipino words. Not that we don't understand it but we don't use it often coz it sounds so formal like "Ako si (your name), ikinakagalak kong makilala ko" whereas you could just say "Hi! Ako si (your name)" Just a penny of my thought but most Filipinos use the informal way of speaking but adds a "po"in the sentences. Hope that helps :)

just a not-so-funny-but-made-me-laugh story.. we usually use spanish counting when we refer to currency but apparently there's this person who thought PISO is ONE. piso is actually PESO. as in the currency meaning ONE PESO. so don't use piso for counting unless you're referring to the price of something. :) some people would find this useless but i know i'll save someone. :p
