OMG this is my life Greebo. I nearly spit out my tea laughing when you reached the tuna section. Sadly, I have the baked bean problem too! I swear that I have some absurd disease that makes me think that I'm preparing to survive the apocalypse. But I have an idea,...maybe if Nader saw your pantry, he'd give you some great ideas for meals and Chantal could pop by to eat it for you. She would absolutely say your name then! 🤣

Don't worry. I've noticed I'm automatically getting stuff that has a sale tag or savings tag. When I look at the date on the receipts (if I even keep them) I'll notice although that item went on sale - the price went up anyway. So I have multiple items (like tuna which I don't mind) that I now only realize I grabbed because it had a sale sticker. I'm pretty sure that's how advertising works- or an old sales trick just to get you to buy more of that item. Lots of shady companies have slapped a $9.99 sale sticker on items that are normally sold at $10 throughout my years 😑. Call me petty, but that ain't no sale. They ain't fooling anyone.

Actually if you look at what’s going on in the world you need to keep stocking up !!! Having food on the shelves is common sense, watch some prepper channels and you’ll see what I mean !!! Be happy you have it !

@@jerichodee1302 I didn’t jump to conclusions….your statement revealed you don’t know the need to store food and being optimistic is virtuous but don’t let it blind you, virtue and wisdom can help you prepare so you can stay optimistic ! Blessings Just so you understand your, amazing I’m sure, grandma….sugar for ONE person for ONE year is 60-70 lbs if you cook from scratch and eat meals at home and I’m sure she loved to bake for her family…..she wasn’t overboard at all.

My Grandma was an invalid towards the end and she used to send my two cousins shopping but never knew how much she already had in, and as they were boys, they never checked. She couldn't bake either. @@okidoll I have ZERO issues with organization. My house is from the 70's so nothing is modern or IKEA-ish. All I can do is organize and keep the tacky wallpaper clean (not that you could see the dirt on that 70's harvest gold. Avacado green, and burnt orange flowered pattern

Thanks for the great laugh because that is me-the way I stock up you would think I lived in Alaska or the Australian Outback but I learned valuable lessons to stock up from my parents and grandparents who lived through two world wars and the Great Depression.

I organized and counted my food yesterday except for the 9 plastic crates that I did not feel like lifting. I had already written down every item in them and put a list on the front of each crate and the only thing I've removed was pasta. I'm just going to order 26 lbs of each kind of pasta macaroni and egg noodles and 10 lbs of Lasagna and 10 lbs of Spaghetti. Then I need sauce for all of it. See it's never-ending

Haha that happened to me. Every time I’d go to the store for some reason I would pick up corn and beans. After coming back from shopping and once again bringing home more corn and beans I decided to organize my pantry and it looked just like yours… stacks of cans. I remember sending pictures and laughing about it with Ashten 💜💜 anyway, olives and mushrooms are nasty… branch out a little. Want some corn and beans? I’ll send them to you haha.

Except for the olives and maybe the mushrooms, your quantities of supplies are not so outrageous. I strive to keep 2 weeks minimum ever since that car accident where the shop had my vehicle for almost 2 weeks. I'll have a 4 week supply of things I use daily if the price is exceptionally good. It's also a hedge against inflation.

My old man does that to me. For some reason he will show up with a life time of *fill in the blank. The amount of soup I could make is oddly sexy. Sexy because I love soup. A year ago he came home with 25 lb bell peppers. Challenge accepted. Pot lucks are a no go because, me, so I passed stuffed bell peppers out door to door. Thought I would share.
