@geomagpsz5 жыл бұрын
@@sherlock_psych I recommend all of my left handed friends to learn right hand guitar. Why? Well, when you're a complete beginner, it's going to be just as difficult to learn right handed as it would be left handed, once you learn it doesn't matter (I can confirm from many friends already). The REAL difference is that if you learn to play right handed guitar, you will never have trouble finding the exact guitar you want in the store (Left handed models are really limited), you have more chances buying second hand, and you can play any guitar you find (At a party, at a friend's house, etc). @henkdevries76346 жыл бұрын
Well, it's not determination. He just knows his attention can't reach much further than 10 hours. Which is often the time you need to master 1 thing. If he were to say he wants to learn to play guitar with his left hand as good as with his right, he'd have no motivation, because learning with your wrong hand is waaaaay harder, and he knows how much time he put into learning guitar with his right. That would be damaging to his motivation and therefor the determination would be low. But simply saying "I'm gonna do this small thing, and if I like it I will do a next thing" that is how you do stuff you like more and try stuff you end up not liking for about 10 hours. It keeps everything fun and challenges you in an easy way.

@landscapedetective40648 жыл бұрын
+Jaymes Leno I'm also a 'lefty' but play guitar right handed. I learned from a right handed guitarist so had to follow his lead, however when I taught myself to play bass guitar I managed to find a cheap left handed bass and so learned left handed. Causes a few raised eyebrows when I swap from 6-string to bass. Weird thing is I'm presently learning to drum and have discovered I'm a natural right handed drummer. I think a lot of lefties have to adapt to a predominantly right handed world and in doing so we become ambidextrous. Left handed guitars are available, though some will cost a little more but if you're keen to learn guitar from scratch then it doesn't really matter if you learn left or right handed. Keep at it, you will only improve. Good luck.

@patrickclark33377 жыл бұрын
AESTETHICAL Chords are hard for someone who has absolutely no musical abilities. You're probably someone who has some musical inclination or it's in your DNA as it is mine. Give someone with no musical inclination a guitar and try to have them do a B chord, or even change from two simple chords like a G to a C, then you'll see what I mean. People who don't have that ability to pick up a guitar and play it within a few minutes, won't be able to do it without a lot of practice. Doing a proper barre chord and getting all the strings to produce sound correctly isn't easy at all for the average person, nor is it any easier for them to make a proper A, C, G, F, etc chord every time without practice.

A righty learning to play left-handed just to show it's possible...wonderful. Also helps get us Lefties more products and attention since so many guitar stores, as a way to try and peddle their products, do everything they can to convince us to play "regular" guitars.

He's a lefty it's weird but he's naturally lefty he's just ambidextrous on some crap.

@@thebottles3153 Im ambi as a shooter and a batter but, if I do play a righty guitar, I play it upside down 😆

@@DustyNonya I am also a righty I play it lefty because I thought it was always better and when I was a child I always mimic Paul McCartney because being Left handed was cool but yeah I'm used to left handed guitar and writing.

+William Cranke do you think I should flip it and play it basically upside down or just try to learn it right handed?
@ViaticalTree7 жыл бұрын
If you're starting from scratch, there is absolutely no reason you can't learn guitar right handed. While both hands are important in guitar playing, fretting notes (left hand for a righty) takes the most dexterity. So most guitar players use their non-dominant hand for the more difficult part. Theoretically a lefty learning guitar right handed shouldn't be any more difficult than learning left handed.

I think it’s more impressive that he was able to play the solo with the strings inverted
Playing a left handed guitar is really not like learning from scratch... You have an understanding of music in general, the fretboard, how you want your sound etc.

Yours Truly been playing guitar for 5 years now. Probably you just not brung used to it, happens also when you swap instruments ( using one piano then playing on another, they're both in tune but sound different )
@gizmo73967 жыл бұрын
It could be your intonation. Try fretting the 12th fret on the lowest string and see if the tuner says it's right. If your guitar is in e standard, it should be an e note on the 12th fret
