Jesus Ricky! You are totally un-polished but a no BS kind of a guy. So down to earth on the way you teach things. I am so glad that I found you. I have learnt something from every lesson that I have watched so far. The amazing part is that It brings a clarity of mind on some things that many of us out here have struggled with for so long that we have just given up on ever learning the whole fret board. I am that guy who learned a little on the guitar but have never ever been happy with my progress . All the U-Tube teachers out there so far have just buried me in information . Thinking that if they show me that I can choose from over a hundred different teachers and 9000 plus songs . Blah Blah Blah! You get what I mean. Just pay this much and they give you all of it. I feel like they are harming new players more than they are helping. I am not just blowing smoke up your butt to make you feel good. I really think you are a breath of fresh air to a drowning man. I am recording every word you say. I can't thank you enough.

How refreshing are Ricky's lessons. They sweep out the musical cobwebs with his sound and refreshing common-sense. His lessons allows me to reach for the things he did not say as well as those that he did say. Ricky's lessons are like a walk in the countryside on a warm summer's day. His common sense like a cool breeze. Bravo Ricky.

When I was learning the "FED" board I played around with idea's to remember the note's down the e string, this is my mnemonic. Eddy Found Guitar And BCame Duane Eddy... If you never heard of him he's a R & R hall of famer from the 50s & 60s on. Sold millions of records including Peter Gunn theme, and still gigging... 🥳 Rock on Ed! PS. You're a great learning resource Ricky, great channel...

Wow not many people can write upside down and in the right direction to be able to read it, that's a gift I was able to do that I taught my self how to do that because I had to I couldn't kneel down anymore working on the railway I had to mark defects on the track that had to be repaired and the people had to be able to read it standing up so it had to make sense.

Thank you for all that you do! I use this to remember the spacing of notes on the fretboard, it is not a pneumatic but is helpful. ‘To B E or not to B E’ , being the uncommon association… hope this helps someone remember

Ricky I just subscribe to your channel I learned more in this one video about the fret board more nothing I didn't know anything about the fret board until I listened to your video the rest of these teachers on here would be alright if you already knew how to play the guitar I'm 67 and just started so I don't know crap just a few chords that I knew 50 yrs ago so thanks and keep me in mind when you're going through the lessons I'm wanting to learn to play amazing grace and I know the chords but that's it the changing and the time it takes to make a clear sound with the chords so I've got a long way to go so don't go no where soon it's in your hands I'm holding you responsible lol thanks

I understand (thru Your utube video) that (5th fret,6th string=Starting on A-note & playing the A-Minor Pentatonic Scale in its intirety is one way of playing in the Key of A...If instead, playing the exact same A-Minor Scale but beginning on the 8th fret of the 6th string = a C-note, one would then be playing in the Key of C-Major, making a point of landing on All 3 of the C-notes in that particular Scale..? Second question is would in this example, the C-Major Scale be considered the "Relative Major Scale" to the "A-Minor Scale"...? Or have I got it confused ??? Looking forward to your reply....Thank You Rick!

Hi simple question from beginner. You whole video explains single string to find the chord but when you play your example your using two fingers. Why? huh? Why is second finger being used. what does that add? Why is demo is diiferent to explanation. what is F5 power chord, how diff to last 14min? 14:00. What does power mean. I assume the numebr is related to the second finger and fret. ? Is there a vid explaining this combo?
