May I ask where you're from? How come you roll your resh? (I find your pronunciation so much more pleasant than the standard used in Israel)
@ThelahBenDan
@ThelahBenDan 4 жыл бұрын
I'm from Brooklyn, and I generally roll my resh because I like that sound better. I do use both though, the French-sounding one mainly when I'm talking to Israelis.

I cover a lot of verb topics, I haven't made through all of the binyanim yet, but so far here on KZbin I cover present and past of paal, piel, hifil, and we're doing nifal now. I cover all the binyanim here: www.thekefar.com/product/hebrewverbconjugations/

אבל למה אני מהגיד (אני מת) לא אני מותה?!! Why we say (אני מת)לא אני מותה????
@ThelahBenDan
@ThelahBenDan 3 жыл бұрын
Good question, that follows an irregular pattern. The vav-tav verbs have two root letters already, and then the vav-tav turns to a hey. With Lamut, if you turn that vav-tav into a hey you'll be left only with the Mem, so it doesn't work. It has its own pattern: met, meta, metim and metot.

Is it vice versa as well? If you have a paal verb where the second letter is "bet," does it change to "vet"?

Does “אנחנו” always take masculine even when referring to a group of women?
@ThelahBenDan
@ThelahBenDan 5 жыл бұрын
Good question - the answer is no. Anachnu, like ani, can be either feminine or masculine - it just depends on the speaker(s). I would say "I love" differently than a man [Ani ohevet (f) vs. Ani ohev (m)], and a group of women would say "we love" differently than a group of men, or mixed group of men and women [Anachnu ohavot vs. Anachnu ohavim].

Hi שלם Your teaching methods are good. But, don’t you think you are talking or explaining this too fast? We don’t know Hebrew, but we want to learn it from scratch. This information you are sharing, yes, we could go back and listen to it once again, but the pronunciation of the Hebrew word are hard to pay attention to them because you go too fast. Please, I don’t want to sound too critical but this could be much harder for other people. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for watching. I don't think you can speak for my entire audience to say "we don't know Hebrew." The pace of the videos will be too fast for some, and they'll be just right for others. The folks watching my videos are at many different levels, and I'm sure you can understand it's not possible to tailor content to meet the needs of every individual. That's what my private lessons are for :) I welcome anyone who needs something other than what I offer for free on KZbin to work with me 1-on-1, where the content and flow can be tailored to their specific needs: thekefar.com/hebrew
