Good rundown. Iron Warriors can also be more of a close assault force with their 18" range pinning bolters that fire 2-3 shots each and reroll 1s at 9" through Hammer of Olympia. Pinning is going to be a big deal this edition.

I think you can definitely play any army in any style, to a large extent, but for sure some of them lend themselves better to “do what you like”

Consider a “groupings” video of each “type” combat oriented legion includes blood angels, wolves, children etc but they are delineated because of these rights of war, equipment, etc. Would be nice to see a “shooter”, close combat, all rounders and other. Each at 25 minutes or less.

Thanks for the guide. Think I’ll be going with Dark Angels for their flexibility and easy colour scheme. Do you reckon it’s worth getting the special and heavy weapons kit? I’m doing the whole box as the one legion.

Special weapons definitely as you’ll want those plasma guns! Heavy weapons I’d wait for the next boxes unless you really want to make a missile launcher unit for shooting flyers, or want heavy bolters for the aesthetics.

Absolutely more the merrier, and siege termies are cool! If you are getting suege termies though, it could be worth waiting until the new weapons box comes out and using volkites, lascannons of autocannons instead

Not bad, i'd like to see a hear a little more about maybe if there is something someone is bad at. But i kinda get the feeling nothing is bad, there is a baseline b/c of them all being marines. so its more .."what are they good at" vs "what are they good and what are they bad at" since not really any straight negatives?

Yeh! They all have a baseline and outside of RoWs preventing them taking odd units or doing odd things, they cam all be played in any style you want. Which is really good writing I think. Just nice and certainly more effective to play to their strengths but great to have the options to do what you want based on more than just rules.

I think the same as for most chapters: plasma guns to kill marines, meltaguns if you want to deepstrike and kill hard targets. Rotor Cannons for the cool and interesting, variety option are also ok. Big video on 1k sons being edited right now!

Word bearers does not work like that. Their legion rules are useless, literally and I mean the dictionary definition of ”literally”. Those rules will not make a difference.

Their legion rule is not great, but it definitely does have an important effect. Luckily their real legion rules are dark channelling, Warpfire guns, and Gal Vorbak / Mhara Gal :)
