Dude so true, inner peeks are just not worth it, but people say "but if you get online raided it will be so helpful!!". Bruh you usually don't get raided online, and if you have a big base, its gonna happen from the roof most of the time.

4:53 the thing is that if u make a base with really good external peeks ur chances to get onlined are overly reduced than if u make a base with simple or even bad shooting floor and decent internal peeks, so if u are a YT content creator its the best to make a base like alone in tokyo by example

If you got offline, it doesn't matter if you have external or internal peeks, bedrooms or anything. TBH if you got offlined it doesn't really matter if your base is 20 or 30 rocket to raid... If you build a small base don't do any fancy stuff. Just build at a desolate place where you really hidden. The place where you build is the best defense, nothing else really matters. I was raided only once in the past 6 months if I built a small base. If we talk about online raid. I highly disagree with the internal peeks part. It saved me more times than the externals, and they are not that expensive in my opinion. The reason is simple. Small bases breached really fast, and when the raiders are in, you are basically a sitting duck, especially if you are defending against bigger groups (for eg on official). You really need as much cheeky angles and dropdowns and multiple paths as you can to be able to defend your base after it's breached. Note: I don't speak about the "classic" circual inner peeks, but like multi tc gaps for pvp rocketing and such (of course combined with multiple bedrooms). Tokyo bases are good example for it (I'm not saying you should copy him, but he has some exceptional ideas what can integrated into smaller bases for internal defenses). External peeks in my opinion are basically useful only the first minute of the raid, after that it's basically became useless, since the raiders are in your base. Just for example last wipe I built a base around 5k stone/4k metal upkeep (I know its not cheap, but it isn't that expensive either imo), and I defended it against a 7 men group for nearly an hour. I scored more than 20 kills on them, heck I even had an angle into my secondary lootroom (which meant 2 additional kills with one rocket) :D I lost at the end though, since I'm not a pvp god, but it was fun.

BBQ's or small boxes are an efficient way to store as much loot as possible, however they make looting itself 2,5x less efficient (2,5x less storage than large boxes).
@DavDavBuilding3 жыл бұрын
that is just wrong as you do not look in random boxes for stuff but you can know what is in what box and than open that box with the stuff that you need
@AntonioDal.3 жыл бұрын
@@DavDavBuilding There is a process in which you have to fill the boxes, make sure every box is filled with the right materials, make sure that teammates are refilling every little box and the amount of boxes you have to keep track of which contain specific items is growing. Its not that practical. The amount of E you press on storage is likely much higher than someone who is using only large chests. Thats what makes small boxes/bbqs less efficient.

ya the quality of life is most important to me. i dont build right in the middle of all the monuments with 25 other bases next door. i rarely even get raided. quality of life has to be nice. and the aesthetics and realism. i like to get into the game and the game world. i like to behave as i would if i was really in this situation of survival. the best bases are almost unseen imo. i spend the majority of my time in game scouting for interesting locations to build realistic but effective bases. love to pick up ideas from you builders who build for strength and effective defense and incorporate them realistically and aesthetically in my games. after all im a carpenter and a concrete finisher irl. i cant build stuff that looks impossible irl lol.

Great video I’m learning so much new to rust on console, btw what’s with all the bbqs added what benefits do you get from that ??and why do you close off the drop boxes for the tc room ?
@WhosGrxffin3 жыл бұрын
Instead of having 2 large boxes and 1 small box, his design allows a few barbeques (small boxes can fit underneath them as well) and 2 large boxes too, so you are getting a lot more space with his design because youre not limited to only putting food into the barbeques, anything can go into them. The closed off drop boxes go into a sealed off armored room which would take an immense amount of rockets to break into since theres no door in or out or it. Dropboxes allow him to put items into the room or take them out. If dropboxes are destroyed theres still no way into the sealed off room except blowing in. Theres a sleeping bag inside the sealed off room which is the only way to get in, you grab what you need and toss it into a dropbox and respawn inside the normal end of the base to get the items. Hope this helps :) and welcome to rust!
@billysshiftytaint37573 жыл бұрын
@@WhosGrxffin okay that makes sense with the bbq s an small boxes I thought you can only put food in the bbq that’s why didn’t make sense, I get why the drop boxes are there to transfer loot maybe during upgrade?
