Glad this works for you but moving foot position is a great way to destabilize the board. It won’t work in heavy chop. I can get the same, or greater, bank angles without moving my feet.

@@Fluterra it 100% works in chop and big wave conditions. It works in all conditions. This video is a basic foundation of the movement. I invite you to check out more of my videos and compare your riding. If you’re hitting deeper carves please share. Would love to see it and learn from you. The reason for the back step is to increase the pitch more than the rider could do just by shifting weight back or adding throttle. There’s only 2 ways to increase or decrease pitch. Weight shift and throttle. Stepping back shifts the weight without needing to much foot pressure. If you’re not stable when stepping back and forth, more than likely your body posture is off causing you to lose balance. Most likely the chest dips and your knees tend to not bend causing imbalance. Hope this helps explain the technique. Please tag me in your videos. Would love to see those carves 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

@@_JustinChait_ Thanks Justin, appreciate it. Will try your technique again. I’ve been riding the 1000C wing a lot and focusing on wave gliding. How hard can you carve on this wing, so I know what’s possible? Thanks!

@@Fluterra nice you’re on the new wings! So excited to get the L2. I do a bit of everything, off powered wave riding, flat water, choppy water, inlet wave riding, etc. here’s a short I made messing around carving. kzbin.infoySPpMuH-WbI?si=AK8ZzBQUL7rif2g5

Great video! Why is that board whistling like that?

You’re hearing the whine of the electric motor. The insta360 picks up sound really well. No need for a mic

I took one long lesson and mostly fell. I do not feel any control to catch my balance L/R. Is this a good method for that? And what is the dreaded taco? Great video, the front prospective is perfect, but I had to turn on subtitles and it worked. Thanks

Balance improves the better you can bend your knees while maintaining and upright position. I recommend taking my online eFoil course at www.skool.com/efoil The taco is when the rider collapses on the board or wing.

Not leaning in Fliteboarding maybe… Can’t say this is true about eFoiling.
@_JustinChait_
@_JustinChait_ 2 ай бұрын
There’s no leaning in foiling in general. Only forward and back weight shifting. If you lean, the board naturally resist and levels out causing rider to crash. Banking the board, shifting the weight back and compressing through the turn is much more efficient

You should stand WIDER, now You do like on snowboard... use all wide
@_JustinChait_
@_JustinChait_ Ай бұрын
Wide stance doesn’t work as efficiently on foils. The wider the stance the more your legs have to move in order to maintain pitch control. Foiling is flying a wing not riding a board
