Hi, Angelo. Nice video, thanks for the content! Unfortunately publish online documents can't be tracked by page, clicked buttons as we can only hitch one Measurement ID per document, right?

Hi Paulo! I believe you are able to track behaviours within a document. However, analytics aren't tracked by individual page, rather by the document itself. Does that make sense?

Hi Nancy! Yes, your measurement ID should be applied to the published documents you want to track with Google Analytics. I am hoping there's a more streamlined process moving forward. But for now, that's how you have to track analytics.

Thanks Angelo, really helpful. Are you seeing 'clicks' (outbound clicks) events appear in GA for link clicks taken (to external websites) within the document? I'm not seeing this data pull through, despite having outbound links within my document - it's only views and user data I'm seeing recorded.

I get to the choose your platform area but Adobe not there and not sure where I'd paste the HTML. Looking to solve: "Data collection isn't active for your website. @AngeloMontilla - hi again! At account setup I choose "Examine user behavior" . . . maybe I should have chosen "Get baseline reports" in the Choose your business objectives popup . . . maybe I chose the wrong setting and am asked to install tags? Maybe unrelated.

Just to close the circle - I'm seeing all kinds of data now in G.A. Tags not installed must not be a big deal. 👍

Hi Angelo - If I created multiple docs via online publishing, how should I handle that URL (Adobe hosted URL)? Granted I want to track the docs individually. Any suggestions? Thank you 😊

When you create the GA account, use indd.adobe.com/ as the URL you are tracking for your published docs. However, you'll have to paste the Measurement ID each time you want to track a certain project. So keep that ID handy or copy it from the method I showed here. Take care!

Publish Online documents are in HTML5 format and they can only be hosted on Adobe's servers. You can enable the document so that the reader can download a (static) PDF version.

Hey there. If you want to host the URL on your own site and not use Adobe's server, then you'll have to export as HTML. Just keep in mind this is not a plug-and-play approach. What you see in your layout won't translate when you export to HTML. You'll have to hand off the assets to a developer to tailor the design for your site. But Derek is also correct, you can't host a PDF online. You can have it as an option for people to download from your site, or when you Publish Online with Adobe. Hope that answers your question.
