Ingredients
Chocolate cake sponge 150gms
Oreo biscuits crushed 50gms
Truffle sauce 100gms ( it should be set and thick )
Nutella (optional) 1 to 2 tablespoons
You can add any biscuit of your choice , you can also add any roasted nuts or praline .
About 1 cup of melted semi sweet chocolate at room temperature.
You can also use white chocolate
You can also add a few drops of any oil based food colours to make coloured chocolate cakesicles
Method
Just add all the ingredients in a bowl and make it like a dough .
Take some in ur hand and make a ball if it doesn’t form a ball easily and separates that means you have put too much of sauce so then you need to add more sponge .
If it makes a ball but is dry that means you have put less sauce . So you can add a little bit more .
Put it in the fridge for 10 minutes .
I have used a silicone cakesicle mould easily avail on amazon .
Using a small clean paint brush coat each cavity of the cakesicle . Do one cavity at a time and keep
tapping the mould so the chocolate becomes uniform. Make sure the melted chocolate isn’t too warm as then the chocolate will not stick to the mould. Leave to set for about 5 minutes
Next take the cake dough and fill each cavity leaving a slight gap. Freeze for 10 mins .
Using an icing bag fill each cavity with the melted chocolate Do one at a time and keep tapping the mould . This is really important . If the chocolate starts hardening just use a hair dryer to soften it . Pls keep in the fridge overnight . Sorry by mistake I said freezer in the video 🙈
Remove the cakesicles gently from the moulds and decorate as shown.
I have used some chocolate designs taken out from
silicon moulds (check below for the link for the video) , some fondant flowers , sprinkles and white chocolate .
Store in the fridge . These will last for 3 to 4 days .
You can also pack the cakesicles in plastic pouches and tie a ribbon at the end .
