Awesome project, thanks for sharing! One thing that might help for future videos would be to throw a few recipes in the comments (ie a ratio of acacia gum to dried powdered lavender or whatever otehr herb they want to use) The video gives a good overview of the process but with it being so short those sort of details are missed (but could easily be added to the description). I'm looking forward to giving it a shot later :)

This is the best video by far I've seen on making your own incense. No BS, no hocus-pocus, just straightforward fundamentals. Thx. I want to ask, though, about making incense without putting a stick in the middle. I don't want the smell of the burning stick. Do you just shape the incense putty into a cone or whatever and burn it that way?
@TazzM4 жыл бұрын
Perhaps the stick could be rosemary stem
@2MeNew24 жыл бұрын
Hi, not sure if you are still looking for this information; but yes, you can just shape them into a cone using your hands. I have also noticed people with little wooden gadgets to shape several incense cones at a time. I am not sure what they are called though. Another good idea that I ran across was the tip of a piping bag lined with parchment or wax paper to get the cone shape. All the best to you and yours =-)

Bhutan & Tibetan incenses are made with no sticks, you can Google and see their beautiful incense holders. Then no need to sharp incenses. By the way, when I travel I prefer using clip (small one for holding papers). It's the lightest and cheapest thing i know for holding incense, and so convenient to get it! Just need to adjust the angle to let incense stand properly.😊

Okay I need to know if I'm getting this right. If I did this, would it be right: 1. Grind up charcoal (is there a specific type I need?) 2. Add ground up resin (dragons blood and other common ones) 3. Add essential oil and water, making moldable 4. Roll sticks in it and then cover in powder from earlier 5. Let dry Is the incense ready to burn then?
