THE SUBSTRATE
Prepping the surface of the countertops is easy. Most surfaces just need to be sanded (80-100 Grit) then wiped clean. Granite and Marble will need the sealer removed. Tile will need the grout lines filled with Bondo and sanded smooth before applying our Countertop Kits.

EPOXY PRIMER COAT
Priming the Countertops is simple and fast. Mix your pre-measured primer then dip and roll the pigmented primer across the surface until the countertop surface is completely covered. Wait 1 hr. (or until tacky and not coming off to the touch) and start applying the Base Coat.
METALLIC EPOXY COAT
There are so many different applications for our metallic epoxy coat. We have different looks and so many colors to choose form. check out our channel for some ideas! HIGH WEAR TOP COAT
We offer 2 different Performance Engineered Top Coats. Glaze Coat is our High Build Top Coat that lays out like glass and adds depth to the Countertop. The Urethane Top Coat comes with the option to have a High Gloss or Matte finish. It needs to be rolled out super thin and leaves a minor texture on the countertop. You apply it within 24 hrs. of installing your Countertop Kit.

Usually u would but the ones they sell are different he said as long as you put the urethane before 24 hours then you will be fine and won’t need to sand

I've used this gloss multiple times over epoxy tops. I can't get the roller overlap marks out. I've tried using just one roller to apply and back roll. I've tried using a dry roller to back roll. Just can't get the lines out. Using light pressure on back roll. Any tips please?

So I used a roller brush to put clear crystal epoxy and there are a ton of little bubbles how come yours isnt bubbled

If I don't use the urethane top coat, how heat and scatch resistant will my leggari countertops be? I would top coat it with the gloss, but I dont want any texture. also, is the glaze coat just the regular clear epoxy?

Glaze coat is a clear flood coat of epoxy. We always recommend our urethane topcoat and the orange peel texture helps with scratch resistance!

You you can apply over plywood but this is not a good application for a shower wall because the epoxy will just run because of the vertical surface.

Yes, it does but we always recommend a top coat to protect your epoxy! You do not have to do a topcoat, you just run a greater chance of getting scratches!

Our WB Urethane comes in high gloss and leaves a minor texture and we also have a WB Urethane that’s a Matte/Satin finish.

@@christopher2932 I watched a few videos from R3 Designs using Stone Coat. They use multiple rollers and save an unused dry roller to eliminate roller lines. Not sure if that is your issue. I lightly sanded with 2000 grit and that helped smooth out the roller lines for me.

@@petesotelo502 i used the matte finish and it definitely has the orange peel. I sanded with 2000 grit and I actually like it now. If I had to do it again, I would use Stone Coat top coat and Leggari Epoxy.

I installed 1-coat of Matte top coat over my Leggari epoxy countertops and could still see very small specs of the gloss from the epoxy reflecting threw the matte top coat. I watched this tutorial video beforehand and he recommends 2-coats for the Matte top coat, so I called customer service to confirm before applying it and was told never 2-coats, just 1-coat or it will cloud over. I reached out to a Leggari Technician and he also said 1-coat is all they recommend. Why depict a video stating 2-coats is recommended for the Matte top coat when only 1-coat is recommended? Yes, I understand I can easily sand with 220 grit and install another coat, but I’m just going to enjoy the little sparkles of the gloss shinning threw!🫣🧐
