I use bon charge. But there are other brands like Prisma, RA optics, viva rays which I’ve tried too

Thanks. Do you have any idea how sunlight might affect cognition? I find I always feel a bit sharper and quicker mentally during summer for a brief period. I wonder if it's to do with red light from the sun affecting the mitochondria or Vitamin D produced with sunlight. I take a vitamin D supplement during the winter though and don't notice any cognitive effect at all from that

It is a huge booster for many neurotransmitters. Id avoid the vitamin D supplement as it’s not even active form. it can lower you postassium & magnesium. It can also encourage iron accumulation. Dr Jim Stephenson is coming on the channel to talk about Vitamin D

But isn't cold exposure stressful to the human body? Don't see a place or time where ancient hominids would go out of their way to endure such cold

It’s related to pleasure/pain balance. there is a new book named ‘Dopamine Nation’ written by Anna Lembke. it discuss this mechanism in there. the cold plunges can spike dopamine to higher levels than cocaine, so much so that there is a chap she discusses in the book who has cured his cocaine addiction using cold therapy, which is just amazing.
