With that first test hand, if you are on the greedier side and had a second sharakusai, you can set the e-tele and then after waiting on your opponents turn you can bring him out and make amazing dragon for more interruption

Finally another Video Ahhh P.U.N.K Therion ... Remember the Ruler/Halq Time with a Budget Therion Package ... haha
@pk_tuneworld Жыл бұрын
I do miss Ruler and Halq at times, though I do feel like Sargas + Diabolantis make the Therion package a lot easier to play with since they guarantee Therion names. Ruler having to RNG a Therion mill was kinda risky, though I supposed balanced out by the fact Ruler was a strong card regardless.

Have some P.U.N.K., Libromancer, Therion, and other mostly complete cores/engines, and I want to do _something_ with them.. P.U.N.K. Therion just seems the most straightforward one with the smoothest feeling combos. I love how toolboxy it is. The way you articulate the combos and bring up good choices to play around outs is nice. Most people who do combo videos act like they're playing single player Yugioh. Obviously, test hands are no replacement for real duels, but they do help learn your deck inside and out.

Hey, really appreciate the comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the way this video was set-up - I agree that there's a lot of benefit in being able to describe how you would react to things on top of showing the deck's basal combos. Of course, with test hands, there's limit to how much you can speculate on your opponent's interactions; even so, glad I did enough to help you out :D

My man what are the sleeve brands you use? In main and in extra
@pk_tuneworld Жыл бұрын
Both my main deck and extra deck are double-sleeved. Main deck has Japanese-sized White Katanas as the exterior; Ultra Pro Pro-Fit as the interior. Extra deck has "Akayashi Barrier Character Guard Sleeves" as the exterior. You have to make sure that they are 65 x 91 mm to fit the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve, on the other hand, can be any sort of normal Yugioh card-sized sleeve. In my case, I got some sleeves from Japan and used them. Let me know if this helps or if you want more details!

In the first test hand,since you have ze amin in hand you could've set the e tele and summon ghost ogre as another interruption bc ogre works from field for some reason
@pk_tuneworld Жыл бұрын
That's true! I suppose I had figured, while filming that the board, as is, was already really, really strong, and forgot to set the Etele. Nonetheless, it's entirely possible for a deck to push through everything I had established, leading to the Etele set actually mattering.

Get Regulus and/or Baronne on board.
@pk_tuneworld Жыл бұрын
Four main ways, none of which are insanely consistent unfortunately: [1] Hard draw a Regulus so that you can summon Regulus after you dump Borea with Diabolantis (if you skip Rising Carp line, Diabolantis would be the 3rd summon; Deer Note recursion the 4th; and Regulus the 5th). Playing more Regulus or Discolosseum makes this a more frequent venture. [2] Make Baronne pre-5. You can sometimes summon "Bull" Ain early and synchro with a P.U.N.K. name quickly. Alternatively, if you are playing Kashtira names, this grants easy access to Baronne. [3] Make Number 90: Galaxy-Eyes Photon Lord instead of Sargas with the Diabolantis + Level 8 re-summoned off of Deer Note (again, under the assumption you skip Rising Carp and go straight for Deer Note off of a Foxy). You do sacrifice Sargas search in the process, but it's possible you already had a Therion name in hand to equip the in-GY Borea. [4] Crossout Designator for obvious reasons There might be more options I'm missing, but this is what comes to mind.

Psi reflector package is good in this deck as if you draw etel and any one card starter for punk you can achieve both full Therion and punk engines online and the end board is ridiculous. It also eats any other hand traps your opponent might be playing, most of the time gamma is always dead. I always side it for going second instead.

How?
@jamesgregory1990 Жыл бұрын
Its makes diabolantis and leaves the punk engine to do punk things.
@pk_tuneworld Жыл бұрын
Though I think the idea is neat, I don't know if I would encourage it. The format right now is pretty rough - if you don't go first, you need to open something to stop and or get rid of your opponent's pseudo-FTK board (see Ariseheart and company; Mirrorjade + Branded in Red; Labyrnth set 5; etcetera). The Psi-reflector package does give us more power, but at the cost of being less able to interact with these strategies (it takes up deck space). There is an argument that it makes going first somewhat stronger, though I would personally say the deck already feels consistent enough to make P.U.N.K. + Therion engines live without a Reflector. I don't mean to say this to discourage you from playing the engine, though just wanted to let you know my own thoughts on it.

Do you prefer Book of Eclipse or Book of Lunar Eclipse?
@pk_tuneworld Жыл бұрын
Book of Eclipse, to me, is vastly superior. The downsides are, of course, that it can be hit by Ash Blossom + it would draw your opponent cards if you can't out what you flip down. Nonetheless, being able to hit an entire board with the card is better than Lunar Eclipse. Lunar Eclipse also HAS to target 2 monsters, which makes things awkward against, say, the Kashtira build that typically ends on Ariseheart pass. Finally, having to discard with Lunar Eclipse sucks, especially when our P.U.N.K. cards don't net as much on their own versus other decks (e.g., Branded Fusion and Kashtira Fenrir net you SO MUCH whereas normal summon Ze Amin requires an additional card in hand to continue going).
@hanxdynasty Жыл бұрын
@@pk_tuneworld I've seen people run Lunar Eclipse too. I just don't like the discard 1 unless it's something you don't need. Also have you tested it with Crossout Designator? Will do some play testing with it tomorrow and see how it goes.
@pk_tuneworld Жыл бұрын
@@hanxdynasty Given the rising prevalence of Droll in the format (and our completely inability to play around that card versus Nibiru), I have considered Designator, yes. Haven't gotten around to it quite yet since I feel like more hand traps feels stronger and more applicable. I think it will work fine for you!

No one would ash the fusion. Foxy tune is the prime target. I really dont like gamma here
@pk_tuneworld Жыл бұрын
I would respectfully disagree on the "Ash the fusion" remark. I definitely think some people will still move to Ash Foxy Tune. Though, I would argue the more experienced players - those familiar with how P.U.N.K. operates - would just wait for Rising Carp since it's a much bigger choke point. Gamma is just a personal preference. The format right now is looking to be putting out all these "pseudo-FTK" T1 boards, so having hand traps to be able to stop that is nice. I put Gamma for its dual function going second and first, even if it can be dead after you do your combo going first. Nonetheless, you can always substitute it with something better!
@Chaosx30 Жыл бұрын
Tune is correct more so than not imo as well. Rising Carpe being Ashed is really bad if you can't resolve it. You throw away a lot of resources and probably have no way to make an effective board after that. There have been many times Gamma saved my line because it protected the 2x summon from deck.
@KoalaInMexico Жыл бұрын
Ash the carp and the turn is over, ash the foxy and there’s multiple ways to continue, so interrupting carp is 9/10 times the correct play
