I feel that this deck can go to a 45 card deck easily and still keep a powerful consistence, but this is quite an interesting take. I think that Roller Baller at 2, same as Leon, is the best choice for this deck, but I wouldn't drop Nytro Head since it's also an easy way to get into Psychic End Punisher, or deal with the opponent's board (or make him feel the pressure with that token). Also, I think playing a single copy of That Came Out of Nowhere! is something you can consider, I feel it can save you if your GP combo is punished. That way, you can still go into the Extra Deck monsters using it, even if it gives your opponent a body on the field, you can take it out with the Star Leon, Pin Baller, etc. Also, knowing that we have another "different level" GP in the deck with Roller Baller, I'd consider Nytro Blaster for the Extra Deck since it's a really good board clearer, destroying magic and traps, since you're dropping Nashiwari Surprise (which I also did). I think that Crossout Designator is a good choice for the deck (I've been playing TTT, but if I get drolled, then we're in trouble) since it can kill pretty much all the risk for this deck. And I'm not really sure about how useful Zeus is in this particular deck, since it clears your whole board as well (except for Punisher). Baronne and Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon is also a possible combo line with Gamma! Sorry for the huge take, I just love this deck so much it's fun to see different takes and see opinions on it!

The take is a bit immature - I won't lie that I haven't thoroughly vetted all my choices. I was favoring the content this time as opposed to a 100% solid list. I agree with you - just a couple of games already and Roller Baller feels so much better than Nytro Head. You might be right - Nytro Head shouldn't necessarily see the axe especially with Kashtira still being a thing (banlist??) and Evenly potentially destroying our boards. Even so, I might end up siding it. Also, "That Came Out of Nowhere" is something I had coined in my list really early on but then cut for space. I have seen issues with not being able to search it off of Carrie over the GP ROTA though, so I might add it back in. Nytro Head I could definitely add in. Unicorn and Aussa feel like filler (Unicorn especially since both this format and last format I essentially don't use it at all), and Nytro Head is very strong. Crossout, on the other hand - I just have personal bias against not using it. Though I fully support you and whoever else wanting to run it - Droll is very clearly a problem card, and having something that shuts it off is nice. Don't worry on the long take! It's these takes that help me think more about the deck building choices I establish. At the end of the day, I can make calls, but I'll still be hindered by my own though process and need external advice to improve. @@pk_tuneworld I feel the same about Unicorn and Aussa. Honestly, I feel that this deck barely can or needs to link at all, being Nytro Blaster a good component to the deck. It wasn't as useful before since it was hard to get it out, but with Roller Baller and Pin Baller, you can simply fusion Pin in your opponent's turn as an interrumption, get back Roller in the end phase, then in your next turn do a Nytro Blaster since it will also clear magic and trap card zones to go for the OTK with Punisher. That Came Out of Nowhere is a 1 at most, but it also contributes for interruptions or combos and you can easily put it in with Chariot if you already drew the GP ROTA (I run 3 so I can see them quite easily). I understand about Crossout, for me it's a take to test since I don't own a playset yet. But I feel that either that or TTT can really help this deck since it can help you protect your combos or keep them going!

May be a bit controversial, but i think crossout designator goes hard this format with droll being so good against many decks.

I don't think it's necessarily controversial. I'm just not that big a fan of the card. I get the value in it - you stop a hand trap (Droll, as you mentioned) that otherwise stops us in our tracks. But, to me, there are a lot of situations where it just feels dead. I do think other people will play it even so, and I think you're perfectly valid to use it in your own list!

@@pk_tuneworldsame here. I often feel it’s dead whenever I draw It and whenever I need it I never see it (playing at 3). In theory is sounds good but in practice and from experience it feels pretty clunky. I’m moving it to my side deck.

Definitely a possibility! I chose to play only one copy to conserve space (really don't like going all that much over 40 cards) since it's already searchable. If you cut aussa and unicorn you could add malong and baronne, I run a second roller baller so that with malong's effect to increase or decrease its lvl by one baronne is live with either lvl 3 or lvl 5

You can correct me if I'm wrong, but I personally would steer away from Malong for the same reason I steered away from the whole Accel Synchron + Baronne combo. It feels like it would be a little too situational, especially given that Malong, unlike Accel, doesn't recur any bodies from GY and thus requires you to commit more than you need to. This isn’t to say there’s anything wrong with you running it - it’s a really cool tech, and I support you! A second Roller Baller, though, I can agree on! I really want to add another copy in.

It took a while to get to this point. If you go back to some of my other videos, you can tell how bad the audio quality is LOL - I thus genuinely appreciate your kind comments! Not respecting Kashtira - I think I just expect the deck to get hit to some capacity, and maybe was proactively proofing this list in that timeline. I also was worried about SHS and Purrely (maybe a little too much?) and so opted to prime the main deck for them as opposed to Kash. The side still hits Kash to some degree, though can be improved (and I did admit that it wasn't 100% solved yet, so I might later add in more anti-Kash cards). In the long run, if Kash is to stay, I do agree that I most likely should respect the deck more and then change some of my choices in favor of bettering the match-up.

No paid promotion ( :P ), though I got these Extra Deck sleeves here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006YNIL7G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You have to make sure that, if you wanted to get a different color/ type of oversleeves like these, you get them 65 x 91 mm. This is large enough as to encapsulate the normal sized sleeves you'd use for your Yugioh cards. Let me know if you have any additional questions! These sleeves look beautiful, so would recommend! The main deck sleeves are just Japanese-sized Katana Whites.

What's your take on gamma in this deck? I get that its a strong going 2nd card into many of the meta decks but this deck struggles to make use of it when going first since u often commit a monster to the field b4 your first search, unless u open better luck next time or punk ogre.

I feel like Gamma just gets a ton of mileage this format going second as you said. That's my primary reasoning to utilize it, though plenty of PUNK players have cut it out for other HT's (e.g., a player got top 4 with GP PUNK while not using it at Portland this past weekend). I completely understand your points, nonetheless - that it's hard to resolve going first. Idk, mybe I'll change my mind about it later on and substitute it out (though I would probably side it at minimum).

I would be lying to you if I didn't admit that the list wasn't perfect and was a little bit rushed as to get it out for the channel. Here are my responses: > Accel and Baronne were two things I had debated but didn't like all that much in the long run. Dragite is already an option for me, and I didn't feel like I was being given the opportunity to Gamma during my turn a lot since plenty of players are playing around it when they can. The "you can Etele out Gamma and make Accel Baronne" also felt too niche since 99% of the time you want to use Etele for PUNK names. I could definitely try out the package, nonetheless, since I do admit that Aussa + Unicorn feel more like filler. > Yeah, this speaks more to the disclaimer I put above. I really do believe two is right (not 3 imo - feels like too many, at least in my case where I'm trying to play a decent balance of HT's and engine in a near-40 deck). Yeah, I might come back to regret cutting Ash. It isn't great against the absolute forefront of the format, but it still hits them to a degree. It obviously is also a nice blanket card against lower tier decks. Fenrir was just because of a lack of space. I really despise having to go too much over 40, and I don't quite see how I could fit some in without cutting down on the hand traps which I value enough already. Alternatively, I could cut down more on consistency, but that might be reaching a point where I'm neutering the reliability of both engines. The reveal effect might make plays bricky since they aren't enough gold pride cards in the main deck taht you have. It's definitely imo around a pure variant

Not enough names in a deck like this for a payoff that isn't really all that great. With only 7 names in my decklist, you don't always open enough names in hand to trigger "Crowd Goes Wild". I get that the special summon effect can be nice, but you normally already meet GP summon requirements through your PUNK engine. The consistency also seems nice, but this deck is already insanely consistent, and "Better Luck Next Time" is already a sufficient ROTA. I think the card is better suited for pure builds. Though I suppose some people might still opt to play like 1 copy since it's searchable through Chariot Carrie.

I mentioned in the video that I wasn't running Photon Lord off the idea that I didn't feel like Nibiru would be that much a scare next format given the majority of the top decks play around it to some degree (SHS has Baronne pre-5, Purrely doesn't always play into it, Spright has Spright Red, and Kashtira can make Ariseheart on 4 summons). I also didn't own the card here, and didn't have enough time to grab one. Even so, Number 90 could EASILY replace Unicorn or Aussa - I put those in as filler ED cards that can be shifted out given their lack of necessity. Accel Synchron into Baronne is something I do have and debated including, but I personally just didn't like how inconsistent it was. You would have to Gamma something during your turn and then make it - a lot of people are playing around Gamma at the moment. You could Etele Gamma out, but that feels somewhat awkward. I'm not saying that I'm in the right for not playing it - it obviously does have merit given how many people are on it. It just didn't quite fit me. I support you playing it in your own list!

Dingirsu isn't necessary for the core of deck to work, it's just a nice tech for certain game states. You can realistically substitute it with any other great Rank 8, a strong generic link monster, another Rank 3 - the list goes on. Consider it a flex spot.

At this point, GP. Therion was really sick for what it is, but I feel like it's excessively clunky right now. Having to commit your PUNK engine to Sargas in most lines feels weird whereas the GP engine acts like a sticky note "add-on" to your usual PUNK combos. Therion PUNK will still kick it here and there because it still has a lot of neat tricks, but GP PUNK will probably be more popular at this point. There is also the concern of Therion Regulus alone basically being the price of almost the entire GP package :P Thanks for watching btw :D

I love the decklist overall and your reasonings for why you use certain ratios. although I will say not having at least 2-3 Start Your Engine seems to be the only thing I disagree with. That card quite literally starts the engine as well as provides interuption by popping an opponent’s monster. At worst, it baits out an ash your opponent has which is why multiple of those traps allows your plays to extend much more. also if your opponent drolls you, multiple traps can continue your plays on your opponent’s turn. But great video!

I think I had just figured that, since it was searchable, I didn't want to bog down the list with too many copies. Like, I get it's great, but so long as I have a line to grab it, I don't feel like I want to open it in my hand versus other extenders or hand traps. Yeah, in the Droll situation, it gives you more mileage. But building the deck for the game state where you're under Droll doesn't quite sit well with me. Some of my logic could be flawed just fyi. None of this is to say that you're wrong in playing 2-3, just voicing why I didn't like that ratio. I fully support your choices! I should rephrase what I said; it doesn’t stop them 100% of the time, but it’s still a good card to leverage against them that still is necessary in the given format. @Tune World lol nah bro droll is mandatory but I use a twin spright version with no continuous spell or the links because of droll and tbh it never stops me. Droll only hurts if you can get blue and they haven't used jet yet. Otherwise there's is no adding after that point anyways so droll becomes useless

I really like your list, but I feel so vulnerable without Ash. I’ve been having so many issues with finding optimal ratios in this deck. I find it so hard to slim the deck down to 40 and have just given up and play the build at 50-60 cards now. 🥲

I still agree with my logic that Ash isn't as good this format as it was last format, though that doesn't merit me cutting it in the end. I'll probably add it back in, though not sure what to cut.
