Best intruduction of free motion swirls I have ever seen. 👋👋👋

Thank you most kindly! It is a bit different and it is more about the elements that we know. Relaxed quilting is better quilting, that is my motto!.❤❤❤

How did you know I needed this?! I have been on the swirl struggle bus and do not seem to get better with practice. Breaking it down into achievable steps is brilliant! Thanks for putting in the effort and creating this, especially since you aren't feeling well. Your work matters!
@quiltingnerd4 ай бұрын
Hi there! It will be brilliant if it will be helpful. However, I thought that those exercises are neat. One can practice the shapes, and the single elements, the designs are not too bad on theri own and when put together you can get a swirl. Practice is always good, and taking a shape apart into simple components takes some of the fear away. Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback. PLease keep me posted how it goes! ❤❤❤

This will be my homework this weekend. I love the idea of being able to quilt a nice circle first and then moving on.

It is all about similarity of shapes. Sometimes we think we cannot do it, when in reality we can. It is like learning how to write. I hope you had a nice and sucessfull training session! ❤❤❤

My swirls have never been the best. You are an amazing teacher, Gosia, and inspirational as well. Seems a hurricane is heading right for us, lots of rain, so I think I may finally get down to actually putting some thread on my lap quilt that is hanging over the ironing board ready to go since I won't be outside much for the next few days. I always give a thumbs-up even if I don't comment. I appreciate the work that goes into creating a video, especially an instructional video, because I've been doing it since 2012. Most of the early ones are no longer on my channel because they were of unsuitable quality due to bad equipment plus the bad lighting in my house. Folks who have never done it really have no idea how much work it can really be to present a clear instructional video! I hope your voice gets better soon. Mine has been scratchy for months with no explanation and I'm tired of not sounding like myself. God bless, my quilting friend. ~Cynthia

Dear Cynthia, thank you for all the words of appriciation! Making videos is fun but it takes also work, discipline and dedication. Sometimes, I just quilt because I need the therapy and want to show how wonderful the process is. Sometimes I want to show how and this takes some planning. I have a thick notebook with ideas and I got there. I noticed I improved a lot! I hope the hurricane will be not too bad. We had some really bad weather here last week and Poland was hit pretty hard with flood. Now , the water is gone but the damage needs to be removed. However, I do not mind rain and some quiet time. My life got way too busy lately. I always thought that when the kids are older it will get easier....It shows how little I knew. Happy quilting and I hope you can relax a bit. - Gosia

SIMPLY BRILLIANT! I have struggled and struggled and struggled (did I mention I struggle??) trying to make my swirls look good. Not perfect. Just good. They are mediocre. Your video dissects the swirl construction and demonstrates step by step the best way to improve muscle memory so the swirls look good (or maybe even close to perfect in my world) and a nice smooth texture is created on my quilt project. THANK YOU!!!

Happy to help. when I learn something new I try different things. It is a bit like with writing, or reading something. Sometimes we need a bit different approach to make it click.... The Acha moment, I call it like that. Thank you for giving me this incredible feedback!!!! Keep me posted, please. ❤❤❤

I love your videos, though I do miss the music. However, listening to the rhythm of the sewing machine helps me master the skills you teach. Thank you for sharing your talent. I’m glad you are feeling better.

I admit I prefer also when I can just put music. Sometimes, however, I have to explain exactly at the right moment. Adding text with this precision takes a lot of editing time. I promise, next video will be with music! ❤❤❤

I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well! I am amazed that you are still posting such wonderful videos under those conditions . I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ! I am very thankful for all your content. Have you ever thought of publishing a book on free motion quilting? I think it would be a great seller. I know I would buy one and you would give a huge challenge to a few of the gurus of the free motion quilting world out there. Many, many thanks to you ,my quilting teacher! From another quilting nerd, from Canada, with a German heritage.

Hi Anita! It is so nice to hear from you. Than you for your feedback. A book is on my to do list. I have ideas and part of the content. What I miss is time. writing the manuscript is one thing. Getting into the whole self-publishing area is another. I think about how to solve it and I knwo one day it will happen. My channel will be the first place to announce it! ❤❤❤
