Thank you for your kind words! I love to achieve an ACHA moment. It helps with understanding and learning. Still the key is to practice. No video will change that! ❤❤❤

Thank you most kindly. ❤❤❤ There is content, where I have to talk. However, I want to avoind making videos where I just talk and not show how things are done.... I also want to provide a moment of slow time.... Music and quilting are so good for that. I will keep mixing the types of videos ❤❤❤

I’m definitely going to do these practice exercises as my wishbones need a lot of work. Thank you.

I just discovered you this morning! Where have you been all my life? 🤣 You are a fantastic teacher, going right back to the basics and then building on that. That’s how we learn the best, like in kindergarten when learning our letters. I have to say that when free motion quilting, I often feel like I am back in kindergarten, struggling to make simple shapes, like circles that are round or triangles that are equilateral. I guess, we are teaching our brain a new method for doing old shapes. It takes time and practice; but your lessons are the best I’ve seen. Many teachers just show the finished design, and they whip through a few repeats, and expect you to master it from that. Often times, they edit out some of the video, so you can’t even watch them getting from here to there! That is very frustrating to me. Your style is refreshing and I can tell right away it’s going to help me! I can’t wait to see how you teach the ribbon candy! I just did a lot of it on a quilt; but I had to make myself some training wheels to learn the design. A pattern to sew over. I eventually got it but I bet your way will make it easier to learn! 😊 PS: I just subscribed! 🌷

Welcome to my channel!. thank you for the comment and subscription. I think you will find here what your are missing. I do try to show the whole process. I do not accelerate my videos, Most of the time I do not talk, only during the basics. I am still learning how to explain quilting and the need to undesratnd the shape. You are absolutely right. It is like re-learning writing. But we do know all the basic shapes. We just have to expirience the acha moment. I remeber learning feathers. I was watching some of the YT videos over and over till I noticed a small simple detail that made it clear. All in all, quilting is a slow process that has to flow. It comes with tme, practice and familiarity ....Next video is on ribbon candy :)

Your voice does sound stronger, I'm glad. My own has not been the same since I caught something back in December for the first time in 25 years. It's frustrating, especially as a KZbin creator. I am one who has had trouble with wishbones, though with practice, I'm much better than I used to be. As we both know, practice is always the key. Thanks for another excellent tutorial, Gosia. ~Cynthia

Hi Cynthia, I am back from a short trip and catching up on all the comments. I am getting better, but this cold is very stubborn. My whole family got it to a various extend. I am having fun with taking apart the basic designs. I hope I can bring a bit different persepctive. Most of the quilting designs look complex but they do consist of simple shapes. Have a good week! ❤❤❤

@@quiltingnerd You, too, my friend. I hope to finish my lap quilt this week, barring unforeseen complications. This side of the U.S. was devastated by Hurricane Helene, though we were pretty much spared except for one dead tree that snapped in half. It's been a distraction. A man came and cut down 9 trees here that were threatening to damage our house and it's been a busy past week so I am a bit behind on that project. I need to watch your ribbon candy video today.
