Dylane, guidance with books is pretty much required. While reading, off somebody has some question then he runs to a friend who knows French. If you can do something that people can write you and you clear the doubts may be with some subscription. Its Great

One thing I have wondered is with “peut-être” - sometimes I see it without the dash and sometimes they pronounce the liaison and sometimes they don’t.

Hi Kate. Very good question! There are 2 different "peut être" : Peut être = Can be => Il peut être là dans 5 minutes - He can be there in 5 minutes Peut-être = Maybe => Il est peut-être en retard - Maybe he is late In both cases, we should pronounce the link. The biggest problem is that now people don't take the time to write dash and accents so sometimes you will see "peut etre", then you have to guess 😕 I hope it helps 🙂
