Great advice. I absolutely agree with all the upkeep details. I'm going to find the AG products that you spoke about and start texturizing my hair instead of using perm. I also think that this will be less drying for my hair since it will take less time to get my desired look. Thanks so much. I just wish that I could get to Chicago for a haircut. Still happy.
@gograybechic2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Coral for watching. ❤️ where are you locateD? I have a link for the AG hair products it should be in the description for you. Also I’ll be sharing a new haircare system (MAISON 276 - black female owner) that I’ve been using since last year. Stay tuned for a full product review It’s been awesome on my relaxed hair since late last fall. I’ll be featuring the owner as well in June. Also be reminded that a relaxer(perm as many of you call it) is the same as a texturizer. It’s always been the same product. As I say in the video it’s the time processed that makes the difference. AG HAIR LINK below 👇🏾 bit.ly/3pf8zXW MAISON 276 link (and 20% off coupon code)👇🏾 maison276.com/492d6 receive 20% off with my code - GOGRAY20

I’m a black woman and I’ve been natural for many many years. My hair texture is very tight, I guess 4C and it is all white with a slight bit of darker shade closer to my back area. I am 66 and I have always been complimented on my color. I have always gotten my hair braided, cornrows or twist but I now wear my hair crochet in some style and I honestly, have never seem my hair this long and thick. My goal is to continue letting it grow, wearing crochet styles until my hair reaches a length that I am pleased with so I can have enough to wear and style as I like.

I am partial grey. I was wondering if I should cut it short I am trying to embrace my partial grey hair. I also have different hair texture. Thin towards the front and my edges has fell out. I am 60+ young., with large feature and afraid short short wouldn't look good on me. Now short pixie wigs I feel looks better on me. Love your videos. Bronx N.Y.

Texturizing was the best thing I did in the past. I would apply it without combing it. In the past, I did not know how to retouch it properly.. I also am trying to learn how to care for my gray hair. I am going to a stylist before I make a decision.

Thanks for watching how are you currently wearing your hair. Is it cut in a style? What products are you using on it shampoos conditioners, oils etc?

What do you think about a body wave or is this the same as a jeri curl..and also..which is better for your hair?
@gograybechic2 жыл бұрын
It’s a matter of what you like and yess a body wave and the curl is pretty much a similar chemical and technique. All based on the size rods used. Hair has to be long enough to perform that service. Not real long but a lil longer than a pixie. #gograybechic

Help …. I decided in December 2022 to stop coloring/dying/black rinse my relaxed hair please keep in mind I faithfully go to my hairdresser/hairstylist every two weeks for wash, conditioner & roller set & touch up (7-8 weeks) when I decided I wanted to embrace my grey hair I started the following process with my hairdresser/hairstylist - every two weeks she would trim/cut my hair - by June 2023 I was ready to embrace my gray hair so I had my hairdresser/hairstylist cut my relaxed hair into very short pixie cut …. My hair had a brownish tint to it, with white patches not at all of what I was as expecting … she did tell me I would have to start using all white products (shampoo/conditioner, clear foam wrap, white Jr wraps), which we do - she uses Gentle Treatment for Grey now my hair has a lavender/purple hue/tint to it, the brownish undertones are still there as well - I watched your KZbin video & others in all honesty to see what products are being used, how to care for my grey hair - I apply no heat other than using a hair dryer because I wet wrap it & sit under the dryer for approximately 45 minutes & style it from there - any advise you can share with me I really would appreciate it on what hair products I should be using to maintain & embrace my relaxed grey hair … thank you

I’ll have to be honest sis without a consult it’s kinda hard to even begin to say. Not sure why it’s discolored maybe it wasn’t cut down where all the color was removed…it happened to me and I had to just buzz it all down to the scalp in the beginning of my journey. 💛✌🏾

Thank you so much for replying back, I truly appreciate it … I’m rocking a cut short pixie haircut & I do have my hairdresser/stylist cut/trim my hair each time I’m in the salon …. In time I know it will be that silky grey that I’ve been hoping/longing for … I truly appreciate your video’s & the hair products you suggest using which I have shared with my hairdresser/stylist … I will definitely keep in touch/follow you while I’m transitioning & embracing my Grey hair thanks again!
