Thank you for your lessons. I see just 7505 Calls for these Lessons. I am amazed they didn't really discover you yet! These is the best lessons I found on the internet! I finally understand the Japanese grammar because of you! You put so much effort. First of all I want to say your voice is so calm, its a pleasure to listen and view these Lessons. I must say I paid a lot of money using other methods, but here you can learn the structure. And the structure is all whats important in a foreign language! I wish you luck and I thank you again for all of this you have done! Thank you!

I always find that "Saitou-san wa kaigishitsu desu" a bit odd. Without context, it sounds like "Saitou-san IS a conference room.". Is it really correct, or just used here since we are just in Chapter 3 and haven't learned more advanced words yet?
@shikhaverma49114 жыл бұрын
you're right, it's actually "Saitou-san wa kaigijitsu ni imasu" but that will come in chapters ahead. for now its "Saitou-san wa kaigishitsu desu" only for the sake of simplicity

i think it is easier for somebody who already has learned a language before and studied its grammar. I have studied arabic grammar and that experience, by the help of God, ofcourse, is helping me learn japanese, it's making me compare the arabic grammar lessons to the japanese ones, comparing the grammar rules, their similarities and differences act like landmarks and signs for me to remember things better!

What wonderfully clear and detailed lessons you give. I'm going to enjoy learning Japanese with you! Arigatou!! PS. You did make a very small mistake though at 17'07" when you write 'kaban' in hiragana (which is correct) but 'kutsu' in romaji. Or was this deliberate to see if we are paying attention?
@NihonGoal7 жыл бұрын
You're very welcome! About kaban/kutsu thing at 8:15, you're right! I didn't notice that, I actually forgot to change the romaji hihi. You have good attention to details though, thanks for letting me know. 😊 I'm sure you'll find some more in the future lessons 😁

on 3-6 So the prefix "o" can only be used when talking with somebody and the conversation is only about him? As if "o" replaces the "あなたの..." What if I want to ask, for example, about another's person country to my companion, how the prefix "o" could be used?. Mr X. no Kuni wa dochira desuka. (I think this would be the normal way to ask without the O)
@NihonGoal7 жыл бұрын
Hello! Yes, I agree. That's why in the example the questions are geared toward the listener..ONAMAE (your name) OKUNI (your country) etc. :)

I don't really understand the second part of the 3-3 topic. The literal meaning of the questions are "Where is your school?" or "Where is your company?" how am i supposed to know when are they asking for the name or where my school is? Wouldn't it be easier to ask "あなたのがこうのなまえはなんですか?". Minna no nihongo says to not use なん for this purpose but I don't really get it. Could you help me with this?
@NihonGoal7 жыл бұрын
Hi Raul! Let's imagine that the question is in English, "Where is your school/company?", if the name of the school/company hasn't come up in the conversation or that you know that the listener doesn't know the name of your school/company, your first instinct is to say the NAME instead of WHERE it is. For example, A: konnichiwa, onamae wa, nandesu ka? B: Raul desu. A: gakkou wa doko desu ka? B: ABC daigakkou desu. A: ABC gakkou wa doko desu ka? B:Tokyo desu. If you are the one asking the question, it's ok to be specific and ask "anata no gakkou no namae wa nandesu ka? although it doesn't sound natural. I hope this explanation helps :)
@RaulMartinez-tz9je7 жыл бұрын
That is actually a great way to put it. If they dont know the school I should tell them the name before where it's located. Makes all the sense. ありがとうごさいます And keep up the good work!
@liveleak2444 жыл бұрын
Lesson 3-4 "これはどこのかばんですか” Isn't the question here says "Where is this bag?" Or it can also be applied to that?
@christiangonzales14854 жыл бұрын
It does not translate to Where is this bag. Actually, "where is this bag?" is somewhat gramatically incorrect. It's like you are asking where is the bag you are holding ("this" means it's near you or you're holding it). What the sentence means literally is: Kore wa (As for this) doko no kutsu ( bag made/originated from where ) desu ka. (question) or as what was said on the video, Where is this bag made?
@prachiwankhade37374 жыл бұрын
At 8:10 In the example, Where is the bag made? How do we use it in the form of kono kaban.... Could someone help me with this one?
