This is amazing You should consider paying an editor for a couple of the biggest pain points in the process like "Time color code to speech". It should give you a significant amount more free time and I don't imagine there's much creative freedom to lose in a use case like that Just a suggestion cus I love these videos so much and I want more and more lol

You are the best! Also, I don't understand..."zura" is in weblio, they even say it means "darou"...you even searched a more obscure expression in it and left "zura" as a random...why?

Zura is a dialect used in some parts of Japan meaning でしょ but i dont believe that he is using it in this way. He is just adding it to add a more countrysideish vibe.

I have never commented on a KZbin video. This video and everything else you're doing is amazing. As someone that is learning Japanese and loves japanese video games, I can't think of anything better that will motivate me to keep learning. Persona? Metal gear? Pokemon? Final fantasy? Jesus man. I've been using duolingo and flash cards for the past year and have been getting really bored, but now I have hours and hours of content to delve into. Please keep going, I think your channel is just waiting to blow up.

Excellent video as usual !! Thank you so much for your devotion. Fun fact, in the French version of the game Cina also speaks in a particular way. He pronounces all the 's' like a silent 'th' and the 'z' like a sound 'th' which are two sounds that do not exist in French. People who do not manage of getting rid of these sounds visit medical specialists to practice their pronunciation, which is very inconvenient when you try to teach them English afterwards. Second fun fact: Zidane in the French version was renamed Djidane probably because Zidane was one of the most popular French football players and the game released only a year or two after we won the World Cup !

盗賊 is とうぞく, not かいぞく, bro, you've been watching too much One Piece. :p I'm sort of watching this on the side while I do other stuff. If I catch any obvious reading errors I'll point them out. EDIT: レア王 is a King Lear reference (though King Lear is properly spelled リア王). The whole play is one big homage to Shakespeare. 父を殺され, 母を殺され is actually talking about Marcus's parents. (Beref'd of Father, Beref'd of Mother). If you check Oubunsha Kokugo Jiten it has this note for ちち and はは 敬称(相手側) 謙称(自分側) Meaning it's humble when referring to your own father and respectful when referring to someone else's father. It's good to check other dictionaries at times since Jisho while excellent for its ease of looking things up sometimes has lacking definitions or errors.

The yojijukugo 笑止千万 "Shoushisenban" was also used in Demon Slayer by the character Giyu Tomioka during his first meeting with Kamado Tanjiro, so it's not unheard of.

In my native language, italian, "Vivi" means "Live! (Imperative). Given that the whole game could be read as a strong call to live one's life fully, regardless of how long life may end up being, and given the role that this particular character plays in relation to this message, I wonder if the name choice was intentional. Of course, it can be also be plaid as a pun for ビビる. In a way, the two interpretations contain the whole character arc, starting and ending point.

i have played this many times on original hardware. the psx couldn't place its verteces consistently, so objects would pop in and out of shape as they moved. on top of that, the graphical output was at a very low resolution (i.e., it was highly pixellated). you couldn't really see what kind of freak Cinna was, but i had a sense that he was a 30-something weird looking boar mini-man who ... i guess just happens to be buddies with this gang of young men. marcus and blank look like runners-up in the main character contest, but they really pulled cinna out of the chump barrel
