Great stuff. I brought the book and love it. I do have a question. It's on chord building. I kno that numbers are used like 1 3 5, or 3 5 7 9 (just examples to give more context). Are those the numbers in the scale of the chords? I think I'm close to putting it all together, all thanks to this channel and now the book.

Another great lesson Mr Nick Hayward......😂 ..you have came along at right time for me ..I'm semi retired now and I've mainly played open chords and E and A shaped barre chords last 20 years so looking to improve my rhythm and play some lead , working my way through your previous lessons...I've never understood why other teachers push the Am pentatonic scale and why it's so popular....when most chords in a song are major ??

Minor scales normally work over Major and minor chord progressions. Major scales normally only work over Major chord progressions.
