Learn Persian with Majid
Here is my lesson 3 for you Persian learners. It shows you the structure of basic Persian sentences focusing on the verb 'to be'. Negation is also introduced together with some new adjectives so that you will be able to make your own basic sentences as you finish this lesson. This lesson will be followed by a second episode which will be out on Wednesday. In the next video, we will practice all these and learn basic yes/no questions in Persian. I hope you will enjoy this lesson. write your questions or the sentences you have made on your own, in the comment section below if you like.

As a Kurdish native speaker I think Persian is extremely easy to learn, but my only problem is the Persian pronunciation, it is so smooth and soft, Persian is like the feminine and Kurdish is like the masculine version of the same language otherwise almost everything is so similar between these two beautiful languages.

Can you make a video for beginners of how to make words and know which letters to use. As I know In Persian alphabets we have some letters that have same sound and I know those are Arabic letters but it’s still into the group of our alphabets and we need to know where or how we use it Btw l love your videos thanks for all the hard work your doing to help people learn Persian language
@PersianLearning
@PersianLearning 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Ferishta. Persian Alphabet lessons will come a little later in the future. My plan is to teach people how to communicate a little in Persian without the need to learn the alphabets, then when we are done with quite a good number of basic lessons, I will go for alphabet teaching videos as well, but as an extra, along with normal lessons, because I think some people don't really like to learn it, that's why it will be seperated from the normal video series for those interested, like you :)
@sabrinakhan579
@sabrinakhan579 4 жыл бұрын
Well I already know the alphabets just making words is my problem and it’s bit confusing for now as a beginner of how to make words and long and short vowels makes it harder to learn because in same word we hear the sound but we don’t use letter we just use the vowels to change the sound of the word as well as letters that have same sounds is very hard to learn because when I sound out the word different sound comes and I get confused of which to use
@PersianLearning
@PersianLearning 4 жыл бұрын
@@sabrinakhan579 I do understand what you mean, spelling is a big problem in Persian as we don't write some vowels. That's why children in school for the first two years are required to write these long vowels with Arabic symbols, and for 5 years children have daily copy writing and a lot of dictation tests in school. Then when you learn how a word is written, you can write and easily read it too. So, my suggestion for you is to do a lot of copy writing practice. Find Persian texts and just write them fully and then read.

For this, that, these, those please watch my video for possessives. For object pronouns, please wait until I make its lesson, it will come in some weeks. But for the time being I have a tip for you: just say BE+subject pronoun (which means to I, to you, to he, to she blah blah blah), it works most of the time, for example: I will call you tonight: be to zang mizanam, Tell me: be man begoo. But remember this is just a help for you at the moment, you will learn later how we form these sentences with other alternative words, as the formular I gave you is less popular in spoken Persian.

Dear teacher: I have a question . My language is Spanish. The verb to be for us are 2 verbs: ser and estar. I am a woman: yo SOY una mujer, yo SOY Adriana. I am here: yo ESTOY aquí. I am in Argentina : yo ESTOY en Argentina. Noticed that your examples are related to status or condition, not place, so is there another verb same as in Spanish?

we have also two verbs 'boodan' (to be) and 'hastan' (to be, to exist), but they are used most of the time interchangably, for you examples: man yek zanam /man yek zan hastam - man injaam /man injaa hastam - man Argantinam (less popular) - man Argantin hastam.
