Interesting - I just need to wind down a bit from the holidays before I sign up for your course. I almost pulled the trigger on buying a luxedo projector in November but decided to give my light strings one last stretch before I pitch them forever

I personally believe that the Luxedo is great in that it comes with a weatherproof enclosure but for the price, the projector specs aren't the best and the software isn't as powerful as something like "DaVinci Resolve" or "After Effects"

hello there! thank you for putting out the tutorial. I was finally able to go through the tutorial and create my 1st show to surprise my wife on valentine's day. I bought and sat on the tutorial for 3 years (wonder why, SMH). BTW what is a good media player to use? I copied my output to USB and played in on the projector using its windows media player. But it's annoying because it shows the buttons before and after the video.

That's awesome, Sachin. It worked for you. With regard to media player I use an android media player. amzn.to/3AD85zT Not sure if the link is clickable here but links should be in my video description as well. Best wishes on all your future creations

When you have an element that you want to make it look like it’s floating in front of the house and that element moving from one part of the house to another part of the house that is closer to the projector (eg. a pillar), do you have a way within aftereffects of avoiding the element being distorted? (Not sure if I am asking this in the best way, but hopefully you understand)

If you are concerned about distortion due to the image being at different distance from the projector, then you just have to achieve the right balance of focus, if the difference in distance is too much, you may not be able to do much in software. If you just want to move the image and focus is not an issue then moving it using key framing should work and using a high resolution image should help in most cases.

@@telwingeorge Thanks. Yeah doing it with key framing was my thought too, but I was trying to think if that could be done with a large element if part of it was on a pillar while the rest of it is on the main house.

@natesholidayprojections8453 I personally use DaVinci Resolve, and have a free plug in from Mr AlexTech.. that helps randomize movement so the movement appears more natural

I bet there are similar plug-ins for After effects as well
