I love how simple Alice in Chains are to play for the most part. Respect how they were able to do so much with not trying to do too much. Just raw talent and dark yet beautiful melodies and great writing, and of course Laynes insanely amazing vocals.

Checked out your Mind Cell album, Absolute. Pretty awesome! Can see the influence you're talking about. I love the fact that it has the thrash in there but also has cool riffs and melodic sections and solos. Very tasty!
