I know it has been 2 years, but russian have cases, where "He eats halva" and "This is halva" where, the A changes to U (y)

the nominative form is халва (which is pronounced “halva”), whereas the accusative form shown is халву (pronounces “halvu”)

In all Scots dialects of english, the rough "h" sound (Cyrillic letter x) is used in words which is written as "ch"... Examples include "Tulloch", "loch Ness" and "ecclefechan"!

No, you got it wrong, "Halvu" is a conjugated form of "Halva" making it the object of the sentence. It "Russian" you would say "Halva is tasty" but "I eat Halvoo", so the ending changes.

Hey that word for sugar in Russian is pronounced exactly same like the word for sugar in Marathi, my native language. It written as साखर and is pronounced as Sakhar.

The only issue I have with 'X' is that it is represented by 'Kh' when transliterated. Example, my favourite design bureau Sukhoi - Сухой. But the 'K' part of 'Kh' is sometimes not pronounced.

Weird. She said "y" is always pronounced "uh", but in "xa(n)By)"(Halva) it's pronounced "a".

Before I knew anythinf about the Russian alphabet every time I saw someone type or write in it I thought they were screaming in caps because a lot of the lowercase letters look exactly the same 😂

In the Russian sentences 'Он турок. Он ест халву.', we haven't learned the Russian 'L l' (Л л) yet.

+Pheonix1328 Yes, there is. 1. He's eating halva at the moment 2. It is a habit. But honestly, no one is going to beat you if you use the wrong one.

I learned the letter p but I’m baffled about the letter y is it ы or й and what letter is it in English? Do I write y or another letter like i did for b which is v?

Dear, sweatlana Tell me correct voice of letter x . Whether it is H, Or it is pronounced Kh. Or It will pronounced sometimes H and sometimes as Kh. I am an Indian, ameaturely I am learning Russian.in hindi there are separate letters ख and ह

Question: In English, a person's nationality capitalised (ie: "He's Canadian" or "He's Turkish"). Is this not done in Russian?

If the "y" sounds like ooooh then how come it's pronounced ah at the end of "halva"?
