One should learn from native speakers for all kinds of reasons. Personally I made the choice not to be picky about the pronunciation or grammar until I know a couple of thousand words. Before I started learning Russian, I told myself "Okay dude, are you prepared to be bad at a language you want to be good in?" Because I can't become good without being bad first. This made me mentally prepared to focus on what I understand instead of what I don't understand. Perfection is the last stage.

After 13 lessons of Daria and some teachings of Katya on youtube I went last June to Moscow and St. Petersburg and I was very glad that I had done the lessons. I could read everything speak some simple sentences. But most of all the places I visited were very nice and the people were normal just like here in Europe. On the way to St.Petersburg by train, it stopped underway for a smoke break, since many Russians have a habit to smoke. Its a great country and is different from what you hear and see on the media. I will do it over again some time.
@watereewolfe4 жыл бұрын
how do you say "that I had done" in Russian? Grammar
@NJ-wb1cz4 жыл бұрын
@@watereewolfe You don't, you have to rework the phrase, like «Я посетил Москву и Питер в прошлом июне и был очень рад, что _перед поездкой_ прошёл эти уроки», otherwise you will subtly lose part of information about tenses. Although the listener might extrapolate your meaning anyway, if you say «я съездил ... и был очень рад что прошёл эти уроки» it won't be apparent when did you finish studying, it could mean that you started and finished studying while you were there. In Russian past tense is very simple grammatically, all of it is in the context and words themselves (for example, ездил - съездил). If you want to create stricter timeline of the past you do it yourself, with sentence structure and words, in whichever way you like.
