I'm starting to understand the power of your method. Because you speak slowly and clearly and take your time, each time you say something my brain naturally repeats (even if we are not asked to repeat or even if there are no questions), we just act like little babies listening to our mother, repeating like a little robot or parrot, but indeed it works !!! Even if I'm also listening to more complex movies in slovakian I'm lost in the flow of their adult speech speed which is too fast and cannot repeat, therefore I do not progress. But the clarity and speed with which you speak is setting you apart from everything I have seen before in language teaching (more than 15 years of experience in this domain). I have never been making progress that fast in a language (I speak 13 languages) than in slovakian ... and this just because of your videos. I'm wondering why this method and approach is so rare, I wish I could have had similar videos for other languages when I was learning years ago and I suffered having to learn those languages academically while for slovakian it enters my brain without pain at all with your approach.

@@LearnSlovakwithStories i have seen your video "can polish speakers understand slovakian" from ecolinguist. It was so obvious that there is something about your approach which is not standard, not usual, the polish speakers you were talking with in this video were not making any effort to speak slowly and clearly, but again, only you were making this effort like in your videos. At the end it seems so simple to teach a language, speaking slowly and clearly is 95 % of the job, but so far even other supposed professional teachers are lazy and selfish about this fundamental behavior "speaking slowly and clearly", this is why you are so unique and deserve so much for this unique effort you are doing.

@@hervegalicher5358 Thanks :) Basically my main goal is to make the language comprehensible to the learners. I use different tools to achieve this (e.g. pictures, gestures, careful choice of words and structures etc). Slowing down is one of the most important tools, because at first, learners process language slowly. To be fair, the purpose of the Ecolinguist video that you refer to was not teaching/learning, but testing comprehension in people who are not learning Slovak, so I wasn't required to speak in any special way. However, when I speak to someone who doesn't know Slovak, for me it makes sense to speak intentionally in a way that makes communication possible.

Hi! Thank you for your question. Sorry, but for now I'm not planning on adding English subtitles. Slovak subtitles are available for all videos, that might help a bit.

I prefer the slovak subtitles. Helps with learning. I pause and look up the words I dont know. Then when you have that vocabulary list it reinforces the rest of the story. I then don't need to reference it.

English subtiles are totally useless, this is the very true nature of her method. The stories are such that we all naturally understand what she is talking in our respective mother tongue, and indeed we can therefore let the specificity of our mother tongue disappear to replace it with slovakian directly. When your mother was speaking to you when you were a child you were not asking for translation into a kind of supra-language above your mother tongue to understand after all.
