Wow. This is how I learned spanish almost 20 yrs ago. A book with 3 cds that I would put on repeat each night. Then use it at work. Married going on 11 yrs now to my beautiful wife from Michoacan and we still speak Spanish predominantly in the home.👍

Yes, that is right. I am an advanced beginner, but as I make progress and try to construct phrases, I am finding that my phrases are the same equivalent word-by-word, but I am often corrected in that the phrase doesn't have the same meaning in spanish. People say,, well I can understand you but your sentence is not correct.

The only improvement I would make is a slightly longer delay between the English phrase and Spanish translation. I am starting to understand quite a few words but it takes a bit of time to put them into a phrase or sentence. I appreciate the lovely clear voice, thank you very much this is very useful.

As a complete beginner, your videos are the best way for me to start. Just to get some basic familiarity with words and sentences. Other videos have long, boring intros, go into grammar before I can say 3 words and completely lose me. I don't listen while sleeping but while running or doing housework, trying to say it in Spanish before you (then getting annoyed with myself when I can't remember - but also feel a sense of achievement when I do). I love this presentation method just for everyday learning. I prefer this to the other "normal" videos on this topic. I love the slow pace, sweet voices, repeating three times, and the slight echo. The voices themselves are sufficiently relaxing that eliminating the music altogether might be an improvement.

Just listening for a few minutes with no one to chat with or question I'm having difficulties understanding what she is saying although I love her voice. Things that I have seen and heard sound a bit different here too. I may try listening here and then checking some books for spelling and such. I have the feeling that many of the words being used would surprise me with their spelling.
