Speed tiers are essential knowledge for any growing competitive player - especially if you're trying to improve your knowledge of pokemon matchups. For this video I break down the concept and apply them to what I consider to be the main 3 speed tiers of sword and shield overused. Trust me, using this mental process can help you improve rapidly!

1:15 hydreigon is actually a massive threat despite clefable because once you flash cannon it, specs attacks slam everything else and pursuit trapping it isn't making it go away.

Yup! This is also the case for perish song, and maybe even more affects, like switching Pokémon (even though that is completely useless).

that's a very situational battle. even mons that commonly run trick/switcheroo, rarely pulls an iron ball for speed control (but pranskter user might do this, like sableye or grimmnarl). they more commonly run choice items to cripple defensive mons.
