Whoah ! This language is beautiful. It flows extremely well. I’m Gaelic Scottish and I’m not lying but this is one of the most simplistic languages to learn and pronounce and I really struggle trying to learn languages, especially trying to pronounce properly. Swahili is almost poetic, your mouth feel smooth and it rolls off the tongue very easy. It’s almost like it’s the perfect language designed for the human mouth. I’m glad my curiosity lead to me to look up the language. I’m now invested into learning. Africa has beautiful cultures that are vibrant. It’s weird how much I’m drawn to it and one of the languages. Amazing! Going to keep learning so I can communicate with my African Muslim brothers as I will be able to practice with them and they will tell me if I’m doing bad or doing good. Amazing language, Subhan’allah

I really want to learn Swahili more than ever before, now that 15 more countries in Africa have adopted Swahili as their language. I think it's very important for black people in the diaspora and and Africa to have a common language besides the one you already know. It makes you more valuable around the world if you were to come to America you would have to learn Spanish to work at some companies, could you imagine being born and raised in a English speaking country but you can't work certain jobs because you can't speak Spanish. That gave Spanish people priority when hiring which is a good thing for their people if black people around the world learn one common language you can use that to empower your people when it comes to hiring practices. That's if Africa become successful in its quest to be one powerful country not a bunch of countries in one continent.

Swahili, however, looks as simple as Spanish with the easy pronunciation and spelling, and I'm loving it
@shealmryremvulinajr44009 ай бұрын
Not once you realize that the grammar of every single word you use depends on which of the 12-13 ingelis (grammar groups) they belong to. A word like "glass" can belong to any group and requires no distinction. I've learnt it in school in kenya and everyone had trouble with it. Not to disappoint you though. Anyone who had seen tougher languages might find it simple.

Shikamoo” is used to greed someone older than you, it can also be used in informal settings. It’s very common in the coastal regions of Kenya

Thank you for this video! I moved to a new state in the US and started a new job, and one of my coworkers who started only about a month before me is from Tanzania. He doesn’t speak English very well, but he’s a really hard worker and seems like a really nice and super down to earth guy. I want to get to know him better so I’m taking it upon myself to learn Kiswahili so I can properly communicate with him in his original language. Plus, maybe being able to travel to African countries that speak Kiswahili would be really cool. I’d love to be able to travel.

This is amazing. Thank you so much. I've been wanting to learn the language. Being a Zulu, speaker, I must say, it's not too challenging to comprehend judging by the greeting and introduction thus far. Mimi ni would be equivalen to mina ngingu in Zulu ninafuraha kukutana nawewe would be ngiyathokoza ukwazana nawe. So the sentence construction is similar.

What a nice class my sister 🔥 wow! In addition: Shikamoo in Tanzania is a formal greeting to elders only, you don't use shikamoo to a person younger than you. Shikamoo is an expression of respect in greetings to the one who saw the sun before you 😊. Literally Shikamoo means=nashika miguu yako(i touch your feet). IT SHOWS GREAT RESPECT TO YOUR ELDER(S)
